What Mario games are you looking forward to? XI

The most recent version of the topics I made ten years ago, nine years ago, eight years ago, seven years ago, six years ago, five years ago, four years ago, three years ago, two years ago, & last year. I have yet to see anything on a 3DS version of "Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games" but there was an article on IGN some months ago claiming it existed, so I included it.

Although I will get most of the games, the ones I looked most forward to are the two Super Smash Bros. games, Mario Party 3DS, & Yoshi's New Island. I like how Mario Party 3DS looks like it will be closer to the older Mario Party games then Mario Party 9.

I wish that Super Mario 3D World had online multiplayer. The fans always talk about how the games are intended to be played with people in the same room but local multiplayer & online multiplayer can easily be mixed. They are not mutually exclusive.

It will be interesting to see what Sega does with "Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games" now that the Wii Remote is not the primary controller.

Super Smash Brothers for the 3DS for me. I haven't played a Super Smash Brothers game in years and playing the first one for a handheld system should be pretty fun. I'm also looking forward to Yoshi's New Island. I've enjoyed most of the Yoshi's Island games that I've played and hopefully that this one will be fun too. Mario Party 3DS sounds like it could be fun too. I'm also looking forward to the new Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games game for the 3DS. I kind of liked how they've added some bits of a storymode in the game in the last two and I like just seeing the two casts of characters coming together like this. Plus, a lot of the games are just addictive, so hopefully they'll make this next one enjoyable to play through as well.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team. After the disappointment that was Paper Mario Stick Star I'm really hoping Dream Team satisfies by Mario RPG needs.

3D World is growing on me thanks to the Developer Direct video (watch these on your TV through the Wii U...youtube is nice but there's no substitute for seeing how these games will actually be like in your TV). It's not Galaxy, but there's worse things to have around than a super-evolved Super Mario 2. I want to believe they'll get a bit creative with it too.

Mario Party...well, I don't have one of these. I don't really know. Maybe if the minigames are really fun and you can play online.

Smash Bros...depending on the features & what else is out at the time, I might actually get both versions. Normally I never would but...it's Smash. Given the choice of one though, I'd probably take the Wii U game for the best presentation possible.

To an extent, they all look fun, but Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the one I'm most excited for. Day one buy!

I'm looking forward to Super Mario 3D World. I was a little disappointed at first that it seems they are just making a 3DS game for the WiiU, but I'm hoping they use the power of the Wii to make larger and longer levels. Most levels in 3D Land can be beaten in about two-three minutes.

And hey, I voted for Mario 128 back in 2005. Ha.
