Adapting this thread for video games. What's a video game you used to love, but have now soured on.

Star Fox Adventures is the first one that comes to mind. I genuinely believed that it successfully merged Star Fox with Nintendo 64 era Zelda. Then I played it again one summer when I was in high school and realized it was much, much shallower than those games.

I gotta be honest, I played Witcher 3 again recently, and I didn't enjoy it as much this time 'round.
First of all, I don't like how the game forces you to play Ciri. What is the point. She doesn't progress or develop during the game so she isn't interesting to play in the least.
Secondly, in order to develop a really powerful character, you have to invest most of your points in the combat tree. I wanted to develop a "spell-sword" character, a character powerful both in hand to hand and magic, but it didn't really work. Even maxed out "igni", with all the talent points and with a full grand-master griffin armor set, is just rather tepid by endgame. The only way you can truly be OP is if most of your points are invested in the combat tree. Which is kind of boring.

I still love the Blood and Wine DLC and the card game Gwent. So I won't avoid the game altogether. It's just a flawed RPG in my eyes.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
