Just a thread to discuss US TV channels as there is none.
America's Voice has started broadcasting on Dish in the US. It seems to be a news streaming channel that has now launched on satellite. When did it launch?

So, WGN America was relaunched as Newsnation 11 days ago by new owner Nexstar in order to compete with the CNN/FNC/MSNBC triopoly, so here's the first Early Edition that debuted on relaunch day.

I wonder would they have been better going the Discovery/A&E/National Geographic route of airing more cheaply produced 'reality' series/documentary series? WGN America had an original series featuring Dog the Bounty Hunter a year or two ago. If news doesn't work like it is now ratings wise do you think they will close it entirely or go a different route with it?

The Sinclair-owned Fox Sports Networks will be rebranded as Bally Sports by the end of this month as Bally's Corporation agreed to a naming rights deal with them last November.

Probably a different route.

Univision Communications and Televisa have announced plans to merge into one conpany.

Antenna TV owner Nexstar Media have announced Rewind TV, a new digital subchannel and sister network to Antenna that will air popular sitcoms of the 80s and 90s.
It will launch September 1.

Nexstar To Launch Rewind TV On Sept. 1
look like antenna tv will focus on 50s-70s shows while rewind tv will focus on 80s and 90s shows

Pretty much. And makes sense too; with so many sitcoms across five decades on one network, it was only a matter of time before a new network was created to take a load off the original. Can't wait for its launch.

I wish there is subchannel to air 24 hours of H-B shows, Looney Tunes, Popeyes and Filmation shows.

this is what weigel could do, maybe call it metoons?

or RetroToon, Classic Toon.
retrotoon could work, I think classic toon makes sense if they aired the animations of the golden ages, or how about this: classic toon for weigel and retrotoon for antenna tv/rewind if they interested in a cartoon subchannel

The NHL have signed a new seven-year partnership deal with Turner Sports, as at least 72 games will be shown on TNT, TBS and HBO Max starting with the 2021-22 season, thus ending their 14-year partnership with NBC Sports.
welcome to the world of turner sports and hey, since nhl coming to tnt and tbs, I bet It be called nhl on tbs or nhl on tnt, look like turner sports is expanding like no other sports channel see it before (espn and fox sports)

From HBO Max thread:

I hopefully sporting programming isn't drive the monthly cost up like happened to cable and most of price increases are due to sporting, also I rather to see WarnerMedia to keep HBO Max and sport streaming service separated like Disney did with Disney+ and ESPN+.

For myself, I don't care about most of sporting, exception of special event like Super Bowl, Iron Bowl, wrestling and UFC.

it not going to happen because peacock has NBC Sports programming and paramount plus with cbs sports programming and turner sports didn't have a streaming service like espn does, same

It could happen if cost of sporting programming is getting more expensive and it could lead many customers to cancel the subscription.

They have two choice - split the sport programming into separate service or deal with loss of many subscribers.

It isn't happen right now but it will eventually.

but... if there is successful box office can help networks to subsidize the cost and prevent the price increase for streaming services.

Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
