I'm surprised a Dan Schnieder pilot wasn't ordered. He said he was developing a new project, and he is signed to Nick for 3 years. Have the execs lost faith in him? It could be a little too early, but if Sam & Cat continues to decline, or doesn't live up to expectation, it's going to have to be replaced.

Dan's been with Nick since the 90's so I don't see any reason why he'd leave now. Sure S&C's recent ratings haven't been great, but it's still Nick's highest rated live-action series so it's not going anywhere.

As for the other pilots, I agree that Twang and Matt's show (whose title will almost certainly change) have the most promise. Smart Alec sounds similar to ANT Farm but that could just be from lack of info at the moment.

"Bad Seeds" is a show I've had my eyes on for a little over a year now. This is a destined hit just by looking at the creative team. C.H. Greenblatt, who has had huge success in the cartoon business, just look at his resume! He worked on SBSP in its peak years (1999-2005), he is the creator of Chowder, and worked on Billy and Mandy. I'm very happy this show got picked up.

With 2 new Butch Hartman cartoon series waiting in the wings and new episodes of Fairly Oddparents to come, maybe Nickelodeon and/or Nicktoons should give T.U.F.F. Puppy one more chance by burning off the yet the air in the USA Season 2 and 3 T.U.F.F. Puppy episodes as soon as possible.

NO!!!!! The network obviously did not pick up those two B.H. series (YAY!!!!) and I doubt they will pick up another one of his animated series anytime soon since they already have enough animation programs lined up.

I'm so glad Bad Seeds got picked up. Pig Goat Banana Cricket and all the live-action seems interesting. It seems that there has been more focus on the animation side of things on Nick. None of the live-action pilots have been picked up for a new series yet. Nick's probably gonna be careful not to greenlight another Bucket and Skinner, How to Rock or Wendel and Vinnie.

There is big news for another show today. Power Rangers is staying on Nickelodeon through 2016, from a Business Wire press release. I am very surprised, as I thought Nickelodeon would go to airing all first party shows by 2015, so they could make as much money as possible from what they air. However, one big thing the Power Rangers fandom wanted to hear was not mentioned in today's release: the number of episodes ordered by Nickelodeon. That likely means 22 episodes again each year in 2015 and 2016 until otherwise announced. The next sentai shows to be adapted into Power Rangers are Go-Busters and Kyoryuger. After falling an additional year behind sentai in 2012 with Super Samurai, I believe Kyoryuger footage will be used for PR in 2016.

Nickelodeon has to be sharing some sort of profit from the toys, I honestly thought that PR would be done on Nick. I suppose PR is still there because it is relatively out the way and Nick is happy with the ratings it gets.

Someone posted news on this earlier - I believe it was JusticeLeaguer, but looks like a third FOP live action movie is on its way (and likely Fairly Odd Summer). FOP lives on. The first one stunk, but Fairly Odd Christmas was a HUGE improvement IMO.

Yep it was me. A Fairly Odd Summer is gonna be the third live-action movie for FOP and Nick. I can see them doing a big push and making this a big summer event next year.

Because T.U.F.F. Puppy is being burned off on Nicktoons. Nickelodeon doesn't care for it. And who knows whether that DP movie will ever materialize.

I doubt Kyoryuger will be in 2016. The show is not catching up to sentai so it makes no difference. This year was a fluke because they couldn't skip Goseiger.

What I would do is air a new Spongebob episode before, and air a new Sam & Cat after. I think Nick is likely to do the latter.

NICKELODEON GREENLIGHTS 40 EPISODES OF RYAN SEACREST PRODUCTIONS GAME SHOW, GO VIRAL
New Series to Premiere in Summer 2014

Los Angeles, Calif. – Nov. 13, 2013 – Nickelodeon has picked up 40 episodes of game show Go Viral(working title) from Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP), it was announced today by Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development and Production. The half-hour, studio-based game show features kid contestants as they compete in elimination challenges revolving around viral videos. Each round will test kids on these laugh-out-loud videos – from predicting outcomes to guessing their popularity as voted by the studio audience. Production on the series is slated to commence early next year in Los Angeles and set to premiere in Summer 2014.

“We’re excited to be working with Ryan Seacrest Productions on this show that captures pop culture in an exciting new way for kids,” said Hicks. “Nickelodeon has an undeniable track record in producing hit game shows and we are adapting the format to reflect the way kids consume content today.”

Go Viral will be produced by RSP, with Ryan Seacrest and Adam Sher serving as Executive Producers for the series.

Nickelodeon has a long history of developing original, hit game shows for kids. The first game show that aired on the network was Double Dare in 1986, featuring Nick’s signatory slime. Over the next decade, Nickelodeon launched many other game shows including hits such as Family Double Dare, Wild and Crazy Kids, GUTS, BrainSurge, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Global GUTS and Figure it Out.​

concept sounds interesting though - if I remember it's on, I'll give it a try. I enjoy elimination-based shows, so that's where this interest mostly lies

Hopefully Nick won't go ratings crazy on this show. I believe game shows are good for Nick, but shouldn't be held to the same ratings standards as live action shows. Seems like game shows are gonna be the norm for summers on the network.
