The Side Hustlers writers are currently in writing process.

With production now ramping up again, Nickelodeon is slated to premiere Side Hustle during Fall 2020!

The tweet I linked is about starting writing process, not filming productions. It didn't even say when the show will premiere, so please be patient

Nickelodeon's filming productions on live-action content might resume later this year.

Check the link under the word 'slated' in there... it's a video from Dailymotion

And from the description (click 'read more'):
"Annie LeBlanc is an actress and artist. "Side Hustle" coming to Nickelodeon this fall."

oh no. oh no no no no no.

Have they not learned from Adult Party Cartoon? I mean to be fair John k (for obvious reasons) won't return but still this is not the right time to do this especially with the documentary coming out.

It probably won’t be like Adult Party Cartoon too much, despite now being on Comedy Central, because the original writers of the original show will return for the new series, with Nickelodeon Animation to produce the show

But let's see whether or not the reboot will be that successful. Remember that Adult Party Cartoon hardly flopped, causing Spike to cancel their animation block, which also included Stripparella and Gary the Rat.

I think C-3PO said it best:

That isn't very reassuring...

Let me get this out of the way. The original show was never (really) intended to be "adult" in any way. It's just that things got out of control, and it ultimately started becoming completely idiotic even by it's own standards, and all because John K. wanted to prove a point about "fake pathos" (I refer of course to the infamous Son of Stimpy episode). Long story short, he ultimately ruined his own creation, and that among other things was what led NICK to fire him from his own show (i.e., it was ruined even before... "that" version was made). OTOH, NICK was just as much at fault for trying to tell him what to do.

Then, years later, his ego, among other things, led him to make the other show the way he did. It didn't help that Spike TV started mixing in episodes from the original (mostly) family friendly show in it's timeslot. Because of this, the Ren and Stimpy franchise in general was digging itself deeper. Today...well let's just say if TV Tropes had an article called "Vindicated by Memetic Mutation", Ren and Stimpy would be a prime example.

So, I don't usually do this, but I'm going to go ahead and make a prediction: this new show won't be that much different from the original Nickelodeon series, but it's airing on Comedy Central because NICK is that embarrassed by that part of their history. IMHO, I don't really think airing it Comedy Central is going to help that much. I repeat, R&S wasn't meant to be an "adult" creation, but putting it on Comedy Central may give it an even worse reputation than it already has, which means it may cause more people to think that it really was meant to be "adult" when that wasn't really the intention.

(sigh)...

Just few days ago were hinted Rise of TMNT to be finished, and so it looks like there will be another SpongeBob spinoff: The PATRICK Show

Don't know what to say about this..

I guess they didn't learn their lesson from when they made Planet Sheen (Jimmy Neutron spinoff)...

Wasn’t there supposed to be a Squidward spin-off coming to Netflix? Is every character going to get their own show?

I thought Kamp Koral was still considered.

Probably every major character at least. But you know there actually was/is potential for a Squidward show since I assume it would take place after the first Spongebob movie thus Spongebob would be busy managing the Krusty Krab 2 and not really be in the series and Squidward would be at art school and we'd get to focus on a whole new cast and honestly putting Squidward in a unique enviornment could actually result in a solid series.

Patrick though? Not really so much. I mean maybe if Nick had the hutzpah to do this Patrick talk show like CN did with Space Ghost Coast to Coast and have it become this bizarre out there idea with ridiculous interviews with your not all there host but they still obviously want to keep that prime Spongebob audience and Patrick isn't a character you can really do mature story lines for thus yeah still be much more family friendly geared. And... isn't the Elmo show already a talk show family friendly geared out? Why have one with Patrick then? Seems pretty pointless. But yeah guess this is Nick now finally being fully free to bleed Spongebob dry with all of these spinoff ideas which yeah seems like the forgot that's what originally killed off the Rugrats franchise back in the day so why repeat that sort of idea now?

@NeoplanDan Vincent Waller confirmed that there wasn't any plans for a Squidward spin-off:

However, one of the staffers on Kamp Koral has confirmed the Patrick spin-off.

Wow, that's even worse.
At the very least, I can tolerate a Squidward spinoff (whether alone or alongside a Patrick one), because there's so much you can do with it - plot, characters, storylines, ideas, places, etc.
Literally nothing can be done with or said about this Patrick spinoff that hasn't been done or said before. Unless the plot is "braindead idiot intentionally causes chaos and misery to those around him".
...I guess maybe that's why it got the greenlight.

Reading about this splurge of tone-deaf R&S reboot and SpongeBob spin-offs makes me sick to my stomach.

Seriously, at some point, SpongeBob is going to get stale, right? And then they'll HAVE to have new Nicktoons, right? Like, Planet Panic, Harpy Gee, and The Ballad of Bea and Cad are just BEGGING to be the New Age of Nicktoons or something.

Or if network television is a lost cause, then at least consider them for Netflix?! SMH.

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
