From the front page of AnimeSuperhero.com:
"Big news for fans of anime, video games, science fiction, fantasy, and all the so-called “geek culture.” Universal Studios Hollywood is planning an event related to all of these known as Universal Fan Fest. This event promises “in-world immersive experiences.” Franchises represented include Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, Dungeons and Dragons and Star Trek. Cosplaying is encouraged at the event. The event is running from April 25-May 18.
Universal Fan Fest appears to be similar in concept to Halloween Horror Nights, except for instead of being spook houses, the walkthrough attractions are supposed to be immersive journeys through non-scary properties. Fans can expect to go through elaborate sets with an immersive story and “audiovisual and multisensory techniques.” “Star Trek: Red Alert” is set after the television series Star Trek Picard and will feature a maze-like walkthrough with costumed actors interacting with guests. “Back to the Future Destination: Hill Valley” will be just like being in the iconic movie. “Dungeons and Dragons: Secrets of WaterDeep” is an interactive session with elaborate sets. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of Universal Studios Hollywood will have new shows during fan nights. Jujutsu Kaisen: Hunger of the Curse is a 4D movie, located at the former location of Shrek 4D. One Piece‘s event is mainly a fandom gathering."
