Well how about that? It's the second week in a row that Turner mentioned Deadman and Casshern in the weekly PR

Adult Swim

Kicking off the first week of June 2012, Adult Swim ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of young adults 18-34 & 18-24, as well as men 18-24. In Prime Time, Adult Swim also ranked #4 among basic cable networks for delivery of adults 18-34. Overall, Adult Swim programming accounted for 14 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34, and 17 of the top 50 telecasts of the week among adults 18-24, both more than any other network.

Now in its third week, Adult Swim's newest original comedy series, The Eric Andre Show, on Sunday night (12:30 a.m.), earned mostly double-digit delivery gains across key young adult and young male demos vs. the same time period in 2011. Average delivery among adults 18-34 (398,000) increased by 24%, adults 18-24 (237,000) by 32%, men 18-34 (265,000) by 30%, men 18-24 (150,000) by 25% and men 18-49 (361,000) by 6%.

Among Adult Swim original programming, Metalocalypse (Sunday, 12:15 a.m.) increased delivery of adults 18-34 (482,000) by 27% and adults 18-24 (282,000) by 37% and adults 18-49 (662,000) by 6%. Eagleheart (Thursday, 12:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among adults & men 18-24; Deadman Wonderland (Saturday, 12:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in it is timeslot among adults 18-24 and men 18-34 & 18-24; and Casshern Sins (Saturday, 1 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among men 18-34 & 18-24.

--------------

Eric Andre was barely under 400,000 for 18-34 and for a show they promote daily that's pretty sad. Though Metal sure isn't doing what it used to with slightly under 500,000 18-34. Sunday is in dire need of Aqua Something You Know Whatever.

Anyhoo, Deadman and Casshern won they're time slots with a few key demos again. Not too shabby. That should be plenty enough to keep advertisers happy.

They don't mention any percentage growth for Toonami so I'm kind of curious if the exact numbers actually went up.

Toonami is doing a really great job so far. The Ratings will go up really higher in the coming weeks!

Jason DeMarco tweeted that they're trying to get the better cartoon show promo aired on weeknights.

Considering that we're out of Memorial Day, it'll probably go up for at least Bleach, Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins. The question is, how much will they go up and will the rerun increase, decrease, or stay steady? And another important question, how long will it continue to improve? My guess is that it will start to level off after the end of the summer, thought that is a rather optimistic prediction.

They've got to be better than week 1 simply for not being on Memorial Day weekend because that has regularly affected Adult Swim's weekend ratings over the years.

However the first Saturday in June last year did pretty well so I'm not entirely sure if it would have been able to beat that and thus they'd mention no percentage gain over the previous year.

I must say it seems a bit odd they don't give the actual numbers for the two anime when they do for the other shows in the PR release, including some shows with rather low numbers. Winning such late timeslots probably isn't that hard, so the lack of numbers to show how much they're winning doesn't exactly bode well.

Umm...why don't they just...air the promo? Is there some kind of rift between the weekdays crew and the weekend crew?

It's probably because the promo is a full minute long, and weeknight Adult Swim gets the most advertiser support because weeknight Adult Swim gets the highest ratings. Giving up a whole minute of ad time for a promo is hard to do.

Then why not the first promo? It's only 30 seconds.

Could the Toonami schedule promo by any chance work? It's thirty minutes and covers all six shows that will be airing on a Saturday. That should attract a few people if possible.

The Toonami Lineup Promo will bring up the ratings on Saturday Nights. This Only 30 Seconds and can run it on weeknights on Adult Swim to bring new viewers in to Toonami!

The line-up promo should suffice but the Better Cartoon Show promo might be more likely to get people's attention.

So, last week they gave us estimated ratings numbers for individual shows but this week I have yet to see anything posted. Anyone know what gives? I wonder if the lack of numbers is a bad sign or if maybe the ratings did in fact increase over last week? I was really hoping that they'd increase thanks to there being no Holiday that weekend...

Bronx posts at his leisure. They might be up tomorrow.

I hope so. Last thing we want is for us to have no idea what the ratings are.

EDIT: It's nearly Saturday and still no ratings. I hope we get them soon and the Bronx doesn't skip over.

Looks like every Toonami timeslot gained viewers in comparison to last week. That's good news, it would have been pretty disappointing if we saw a decline from last week's holiday-affected numbers.

It probably doesn't mean much, but both Bleach and Deadman Wonderland got higher total ratings than premiere episodes of both Metalocalypse (1,015,000) and The Eric Andre Show (794,000). It'd be nice if they beat them in the 18-34 demo as well, but I not getting my hopes up. :p

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.
