This is the talkback thread for "The Ant Bully" Is No Antigone.

This seems like a fusion among A Bugs Life, James and the Giant Peach, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

The reviews I've read say it's a well-intentioned movie, though it falls flat (with the exceptions of the performances of Zachary Tyler Eisen and Bruce Campbell).

I want to see it, but there's absolutely no way in heck I'll be seen with a copy of it in my posession.

When this came out, it looked pretty cheesy, and wouldn't ya know it: It was!

The whole movie is lame, cheesy, and kind of stupid. But don't take my word for it. Everyone else in the theater laughed when the character said "butt", so I guess it's just a matter of opinion.

I guess that makes the movie theater attendees pretty lame if they're going to laugh to the word "butt".

Besides, wasn't this movie kept on a leash by corporate suits who wanted to extract their "own" method of funny into this movie? I heard that's why it fell flat.

Even so, this movie can't possibly be worse than Barnyard.

Which promts me to ask,

Besides, wasn't this movie kept on a leash by corporate suits who wanted to extract their "own" method of funny into this movie? I heard that's why it fell flat.

Why do the suits hire a creative team, if they're so convinced that they'll do better? It would certainly save them from having to pay more individuals for the movie development.

I'm amused by how much everyone hates this movie. I saw it and I loved it.

I just saw it on DVD, and I have to agree: Not a bad movie, but I feel Pixar's A Bug's Life was a whole lot better.

I really didn't like how Lucas took out his frustrations on his own mom!:(

It wasn't Bad but it just seemed recycled

Well...

When a movie's own crew pans it after it's released to theatres, you know there's a problem.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
