didn't the main character resemble Terry McGinnis?
while we're talking about obscure, short-lived toons, how about Calamity Jane??? that'll never see the light of day.

I, too, eagerly await Megas XLR. I suspect Megas will replace Samurai Jack in the dvd release rotation come 2008.

And I'd love to have Courage. Scooby-Doo + Beetlejuice= Courage

we expected Looney Tunes around Thanksgiving, however I glad to hear Tom & Jerry finally getting a third volume. I suppose Vol 4 will feature the Chuck Jones Era. Loved the Mancini scores from that time.

Yeah, the kid looked nearly identical to Terry.

As for Calamity Jane, that was Frech-Canadian wasn't it? At the very least, I don't think it was produced in the US or by Warners', so WB wouldn't have the rights to it.

Actually, he was voice by Mikey Kelley, who voiced Mikey in TMNT.

All this talk of Invasion America has me wanting to find my tapes of it.

Great to see more classic DC animation is on its way. I'm quite surprised that we'll actually be getting Filmation's Aquaman before The Adventures of Batman. It would be nice to think that the Aquaman set will also contain all the DC Heroes shorts like Teen Titans, Justice League...etc., but considering how The New Adventures of Superman set has been split I'm not too hopeful.

I also hope that the Comic-Con special announcement is about Plastic Man; Michael Bell was hilarious in that series!

I still want Static Shock, Megas XLR, Zeta, and Freakazoid; I've seen the complete run of the first two but only a few episodes of the latter two. I'd love to be able to watch all four shows since it seems unlikely I'll ever see them on television again.

Some of it might have to due with music rights. There were at least two episodes comprised of music videos (Aretha Franklin's Respect, a few from They Might Be Giants, etc) that are going to be horrifically expensive to license.

It shouldn't be hard to license the TMBG music, seeing as they bought the rights to their music from Elektra a few years ago.

Did the first Animaniacs DVD set have the "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" episode with Slappy Squirrel if Warner got the rights to the Jan and Dean song?

Also: If Tiny Toons is set for a 2008 DVD release, I hope by 2009-2010 Taz-Mania, Road Rovers, Histeria, and Detention come out on DVD.

While it's all well and good to not like Static Shock, I think it's just a bit rude to be happy over it not getting anymore DVD releases. After all, it's not hurting you if they get released. Just don't buy them, it's that simple.

Anyway, I did not realize Invasion America was Dreamworks only. It looks like I've been emailing the wrong people all these years.

Yeah, I'd contact Paramount about it, since they own Dreamworks now. It would make sense for them to have DVD rights to the show now.
