80’s cartoon fans may remember that occasional comic book crossover between the GI Joe and Transformers (made possible by Hasbro owning the rights to both). While we’re still waiting for those two properties to crossover in animated format, there is now two other 80’s properties that’s now set to meet up, and this one makes so much sense:
Dynamite Comics has now announced a multi-month crossover event between the Thundercats and the Silverhawks! Both series were part of the “Rankin Bass” line of cartoons from the 80’s, (much like He-Man and She-Ra were both the “Filmation” series). While the two never crossed over, the animation style was the same, and the format of the shows were similar (though Thundercats was always a bit more Fantasy than Sci-Fi)."
