I blame Nielsen.
Maybe if their ratings system wasn't so damn complicated...
I blame Nielsen.
It's an oversight. It's not linked on the main bar, and many of those shows aren't on the air not to mention there's a couple of empty spaces. And Jetstream doesn't exist anymore.Hm, CN's Toonami page is still up.
Think it's just an oversight or are they saving the page in case it comes back?
Up until about a month ago, Toonami UK's website was still up as well, despite being gone for over two years prior to that.
Toonami Philippines got a makeover.

Thanks to tytheartist from ToonamiFan for the headsup.
EDIT: Also looks like Toonami Spain has fallen...![]()
A programming block on a children's network that specialized in action and "unusual" programming compared to other shows that lasted 11 years, 3 days, and 7 hours and managed to develop an incredible fanbase is considered a "failure"?
Damn, now there's no way to save that awesome Muse AMV . . .
Colossal text of doom, pain, and destruction
Personally, I think CN would be better off increasing Boomerang's visibility nationwide (which is still an absolute mess) than trying to launch yet another extra channel. Just saying.
If CN brought back Toonami in order to compete with Shippuden, IMO, they'd half-ass it and wouldn't let Williams Street touch it at all. In the end, it would probably end up pretty bad. I'm not saying I don't want to see it on again (I would cry tears of joy if Toonami came back, even if it sucked), though, I'm just saying it probably won't be the rebirth we'd hope it would be.
I'd still be happy if it were half-assed to a point. I at least think that if it came back, there's always the opportunity for it to get better. :/ Meh, this is just all ifs-and-buts, because Toonami has no chance of coming back until CN has a new executive regime. Why would you be happy with having Toonami return if it sucked? I have seen quite a bit of people post stuff like this when discussing things that are either over or cancelled and I will never understand why someone would want something back if it was 'half-ass' and 'sucked'. I guess different people want different things, but I would never want something to return if it was not going to get the treatment it deserved, namesake is not that important to me I guess.

Toonami is likely coming back some time after Cartoon Express returns to the USA Network.
Even if Toonami came back, what shows would they have on it? Is the Toonami name that is important here? If Cartoon Network renamed YAH toonami, would that make people happy?

Bakugan on Toonami...A Toonami return would be great if CN aquired some new anime from Japan, maybe 2 new serious based anime's mixed with something like Bakugan to lighten it up and then something like Alien Force or Clone Wars to draw in new fans. The only problem I see is that YAH would be without their two biggest shows, but I figure that YAH could get Gormiti, Brave & the Bold, The Secret Saturdays & Symbionic Titan, and both blocks could live long and enjoyable lives on CN.
But even if CN got a new regime, I am sure they would want to do something to plant their own seed into the network rather than rehash an old block and try to beef up a current block without two of it's biggest shows. Oh well.![]()
