Broadcast Order: Season 24, Episode 1
Production Order: Season 23, Episode 21

Writers: Tim Long
Director: Bob Anderson

The 24th season airs tonight at 8 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

The Simpsons return to New York City.

And it only took them how many years? I wonder if they'll reference the previous episode getting banned due to the towers.

It took then 15 years I believe.

Nice nod to the Longest Daycare.

And there goes the previous ep. reference.

A 9/11 joke? Really?

*slowly walks out of thread*

Had to come back regarding that couch gag contest. Lord.

Great episode :D
My favorite parts are the racing scene and the air cationer fell on Homer XD
Nice to have a Couch Gag contest

Wasn't a good episode. I know that we knew about the girls from the PR/plot, but I wish we'd also see Laura Powers, Jessica Simpson and Greta too. Three of Bart's dates/crushes from earlier on in the series. Meh, hopefully Treehouse of Horror is good next week.

And hopefully the winner of the couch gag contest makes it under one minute, unlike all the couch gags since season 20.

At least they acknowledged that they went to New York before.

They set a scene in The High line. Thought that was pretty cool.
I live in NYC and it took an episode of Louie back in 2011 for me to know that it existed.

Have you been? It's one of my favorite places in town since I first walked it last year.

I missed it, which blows because suddenly I cannot watch it on Hulu. It is telling me to synch something with my cable provider. What?

Managed to finally watch this after missing the premiere. This was a pretty cute episode, and I liked how they acknowledged all those girls Bart dated in the past, it's always nice to see continuity. And make your own couch gag? Huh? Might actually enter that.

The actual Jessica Simpson? Or did you mean Jessica Lovejoy? Because she was in one of those pictures Bart had. I did like how they got the VA's of the previous girlfriends to come back. I feel like Bart was written too old in this episode, though, but it entertained me. Return of the Klav Kalash guy!

So I finally got to see the episode and well, it was pretty awful. I cannot believe they brought everyone back just to say like 3 words. How much money did that cost them? They would have been better off using it to hire competent writers.

Anyway, the twin towers joke was in pretty poor taste. I think it is because it just wasn't that funny of a joke. Most of the episode was just another been there done that type of deal. Yeah, the Kalash guy was kind of funny, but that was about it. And how the hell did Mary seem to have this growth spurt between the last time she was seen? Timeline wise, it could only have been a few months ago when Bart was going to get married to her.

If they want to have plots like this, they really need to age the characters, because I did not buy that a 10 year old would be thinking this deeply this way.

I was thinking The Simpsons I might stop watching after Nedna took effect. And the Lady Gaga was right after that, so a few minutes of that episode made it look like a good idea.

But I don't want to go around holding more grudges then I need to, and I've put up with it this long...

Their first trip to NYC had a ridiculous premise, although to this day I wouldn't know how to get a car back from NYC other then to just go there and get it myself. Marge and the rest of the family just did some typical sightseeing that was funny. It had a solid Homer vs NYC plot though where one mishap lead to another, and each one was also funny.

Watching this episode I'm wondering why they are bothering to do the things they're doing. It was barely worth going across town to find that girl let alone across country from Oregon to New York.
Their NYC adventures weren't funny and when they do find her it feels kind of weird that she ran off again, although I can't see giving a kid back to Cletus.
I guess they got their jabs against SNL in.
This could have been more fun as a Cletus lost in NY episode.

I'm the last one to call for continuity and character development, but instead of another Bart's failed romance plot it would be refreshing if even for a single season there was a New Girl he had interactions with.

The Voyo-exclusive Romanian dub of Garfield and Friends goes on with the second season now being relased. I was afraid they will forget about the show after only one season.

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.

Conflicted about the upcoming film adaptation of Children of Blood and Bone, given the creator now distancing herself from it despite co-writing the screenplay and blocking one of the actresses on social media despite defending her casting in the film.
