Yea.. thats bad. Sooner or later I know I'll get em. I've been lucky to get alot off Ebay latley. These are the ones I still need:

I know I'll get em, but paying over 4 bucks for 1 figure is way to much.

I have hawk and dove 3 pack (with wonder woman) that I bought from CVS last night in it's original blue pack released unopened. Anyways, I wonder if anyone here as a spare 10 inch green lantern as I have all the other leaguers except 10 inch green lantern (is there a JLU 10 incher or the is the only one with his hair the only one that was made at 10 inches?)

Hey, don't let anyone tell you that Shade & Huntress aren't shipping to stores anymore---I just picked up my second pair today at Target:

These two are destined for the customizing table---ever since I saw Casimir's amazing revamp of Huntress I've been dying to tackle it. And as for Shade, well, that vest has just got to go!

Anyway, they're still out there so anybody still hunting for 'em should not give up hope.

I used to collect Star Wars figures, but ultimately gave up because I was tired of driving around and around looking for reported product that never materialized anywhere in my corner of the world. I don't know if I wasted more time, gas, or patience with it.

Disgusted with Hasbro, I figured Mattel couldn't be worse. Well, colour me wrong. Not counting comic shops who use different suppliers, or shop for themselves and resell, we have the same figures on the racks of the original orange 3 packs. (Copperhead, MM x3, etc). In fact I found this board looking for scraps of news about the mystical Shayera Hol JLU figure.

I'm left wondering if the problem is any given toy manufacturer, or retail chain, or the obsessive compulsiveness of the (many, not all) collectors. It's actually a very frustrating hobby if you lack the patience.

In the end, I go with ebay/ online. I figure (no pun intended) that even with shipping, inflated cost, and $ exchange, the money is worth my time. Sad.

Over $4? JLU figures cost about $5 per figure in most cases. In most other toy lines, figures' prices are ranging from $6-$10 (on the ones I've seen). Was that a typo, or are you the ultimate bargain hunter (and if you are, kudos; I wish I could find deals like that)?

I hear you pixellj. I used to collect Spawn figures which could be a little bit of a pain. But, at least you could find them online for retail price. These figures are becoming a real pain. The hunt has lost it's luster, at least for me. If I didn't like this line so much I would have bowed out of the chase awhile back. I know I won't be collecting anymore figures after this line.

While I have bought a few things on eBay in the past they were mostly figures that weren't being sold anymore. I'm torn with the cost of the hunt & the extra cost on eBay. While I'm sure it would be cheaper in many cases to just pay the extra on eBay I can't bring myself to support the scalper jack*****e$.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish out the line without eBay.

Just a personal opinion to some that are grabbing 2 & 3 packs of the same figure, maybe hold off on grabbing multiples until they are more readily available. When there are new figs that are coming 1 to a box & people are grabbing the only two on the shelf it makes it that much harder for other collectors to get one. I know I've been tempted but passed on grabbing seconds until the figures were in greater supply. Just the other day I passed on a second nemesis/amazo/ray pack (I wanted to paint winged amazo gold) since it was the only one left. This way hopefully another collector that has none picked it up for his/her display.

Just my $.02.

I'll buy the figures loose. If they were part of a three pack, and are now loose, and the buyer wants three dollars or more for S&H, then why should I pay over 4 bucks for a figure? It costs less than 1.50 to send one figure.

So, yea, I refuse to pay over 4 bucks. Now for Doomsday, I paid more, but when the price goes over 4 bucks, I let it go.

You are right you are free to buy what you want when you want. It's a great system. I'm just saying when a figure is in short supply sometimes it's nice to let everyone have a chance before grabbing them all.

No one is making anyone do anything. If you want to buy all the purple cards because you want them all that's up to you. I just think that you might have a different tune when you are searching high & low for that ever elusive new figure only to see that others already have 2 & 3.

Like I said just my $.02 no need to get upset.

I don't mind collectors buying two or three, I mean, like me, I buy (when in stores) One for me, and one for my son. What ticks me off is when the Ebay people have to grab em all up. I used to work retail, and I was lucky enough to find Doomsday (DC Superheroes Comic Figures.) I got em, and bought him. Not a few seconds later, a Ebay guy, who would come in everyday, saw him in my hand, got mad because he wanted it to sell on ebay!

Now again, it's a free country, so they are allowed to do it, but it is still bad, for us who are trying to buy em.

just to give everyone a heads up.

I was at target in fairlakes, va tonight and I went over to check the SW/JLU section and guess what I found?!?!?! Two 10 inch PURPLE boxed Superman (non silver logo) and Hawkgirl...and get this, the price was 3.98 CLEARANCE! That store NEVER had any purple boxed 10 inchers and now they are clearing them out?!?!?! There doomsday pack which was 20 dollars around x-mas, is now 8 bucks!!! This was NOT the case on Monday when I was there. Could this be a sign that Target is dropping the DCAU/JLU Line completely ?!?!?!?!?

Anyone looking for purple boxed superman or hawkgirl let me know and maybe we can work out a fair trade

Our closest Targets have been running low on JLU figures too. It's damn shame; that Huntress looks nice, the paint job's a big improvement. I hope they're not being discontinued.

The thinkg with alot of corporations, they will put stuff on clarance, only to get it back in. Or if they are heavily stocked in the warehouse, which happens alot.

Speaking of Target. My Target was discounting out the Doomsday exclusive 6 pack set for $7.98. They only had one left.

I know what you mean about S/H prices, I try to buy from stores rather than online. Since you buy your stuff loose, I'd say your system sounds pretty reasonable. I hope you can find the rarer figures like Shade and Huntress at reasonable prices too! (Actually, I just hope that we all see these figures at least once, unlike Vigilante)

grrrrrrrr... I think its a slap in the face that just 3 days before that same target had ZERO PURPLE BOX 10 inchers, then BAM 2 10 inchers, purple boxed for less then 4 bucks! Its too bad a lorder hawkgirl, lorder ww, or lorder JJ fully solid 10 inchers aren't made or else I would go for 10 inch round of lorders.
