Changing to a season talkback thread...

Episode #209 - Finger Pickin' Bad / Higgenbottom's 7
Original Airdate - Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. PT

When Finger makes friends with another finger named Digit, Bessie is forced to hang out with owner (and her rival) Ronnie. Oh, it’s on! When a vending machine eats her dollar, Betsy appeals to the authorities to get it back, but no one wants to help her. Shes forced to assemble a motley crew of friends, specialists, and spies to infiiltrate the bank and get her dollar back.

Any comments?

Haven't seen the "new" episode yet, but after having watched Season 1, it doesn't surprise me at all that Mighty B! got canned (and, ultimately, deregulated to Nicktoons for the official episode burn-off).

I appreciate the effort, and respect the names involved... but honestly, this show stinks. Not one of Nick's better animated projects.

Actually, yeah, season 1 sucks for the most part, but Season 2 is very different. It has wacky-funny plots(IMO) and much less gross gags. Plus the designs improved A LOT. If you could give a late season 2 episode a chance, I would appreciate it, but it's your opinion, and I respect it.

Tonight, they premiered "The Bone Identity," which is one of co-creator Erik Wiese's favorite episodes!

Storywise, think of it as a dark version of Snoopy Come Home!

I just watched the new Mighty B! one-hour special, "Oh, Brother, What Art Thou?", and it's perhaps the most epic episode since "Dragonflies!" I wouldn't be surprised if this episode was intended to be the Season 2 finale! (Ironically, Nicktoons still has more episodes to air!)

Anyone reading this now, catch the rerun tonight at 11PM!

I really liked this. I'll admit at first I greatly disliked The Mighty B but I have really can to love this show. This week of new premieres really had me hooked, especially tonights one, I just hope they show more episodes soon and it hopefully gets a new season.

This isn't the seaosn finale, nor it was intended to. The finale episode is C'mon Get Happy!, which focused on Happy and Bessie's relationship, which is one of the aspects that progressed through the series.

Mighty B is pretty much my favorite Nicktoon right now. In fact I think the show is freaking brilliant, but sadly I only get watch it sporadically. I've mostly only seen season 1 episodes. From season 2 I've only caught the "Happy as a spy dog" episode (which honestly I didn't think was very good) and the last 15 minutes of the movie, which rocked my socks right off. I can't wait to watch the rest of it.

Any way I guess I'm wondering how has season 2 compared to season 1? and in what ways is it different?

^It's way better.

Anyways, here's my thoughts of the new episodes so far:

Sleepless in San Fransisco: Awesome episode. Loved the ending too. 10/10
Rinx!: Good episode, nothing special- 7/10
Finger Pickin' Bad: I hate finger, but this was pretty good for him. 6.5/10
Higgenbottom'$ 7: Awesome Ocean's 11 parody. 10/10
It's B's Party: A meh episode-but I LOLed at B practising surprise faces and scaring the restaurant's customers. 7/10
B-Chip: Good episode, pretty fun to see a good Happy- 8/10
Old Bee and The Sea: Awesome episode. Loved Penny tellign a fish to "go fish". 10/10.
One Million Years B.C.: Totally Epic. 10/10
The Bone Identity: Haven't seen it yet.
Grumpy Old Bees: Haven't seen it yet.
Children of the Unicorn: Fantastic, and I loved to see a Gwen-centered ep. 9/10
My Way or the Bee Way: Pretty good and funny. 8.5/10
O Brother, What Art Thou?: Epic, but not too funny. 9/10
Stuffed Happens: Same as above. 9/10

And as the series is already over in Latin America, I may as well post my thoughts of the other episodes:

Gorillas In The Midst: Pretty good. Loved Portia falling in love with Bessie (thiknig she's Ben). 8/10
Space Evaders: Haven't seen it yet.
Yips!: Haven't seen it yet (is this title even real?).
Public Enembee: Hilarious. 9/10
Bang the Drum Timely: Pretty fun Hippie-centered episode. 7/10
League of Ordinary Gentlemen:Good episode. 8/10
Irritable Bowling Syndrome: Awesome. Finally see why B doesn't have the 2 middle teeth! 10/10.
Bess-E: Great. Hilarious. Epic. 10/10
C'mon Get Happy!: Good finale. Happy and Bessie REALLY care for each other. 9/10.

I really wish Nickelodeon would change their minds someday. I love Season 1, but Season 2 is even better! Some of the best work in the series was contributed by Skadi creator Katie Rice, who storyboarded "Bee Nice," "Awwww-some!", "Sleepless in San Francisco," "It's B's Party," and "Oh, Brother, What Art Thou?"

If you compare seasons, the look of Season 2 was faaaar more polished and refined than Season 1. The colors are brighter (Bessie's hair & skin tone, Happy's fur, etc.), some new talent came aboard, etc.

Sounds like you caught the episodes "The Bone Identity" (one of co-creator Erik Wiese's top favorite episodes, and I've compared it to a dark version of Snoopy Come Home!) and the last 15 minutes of the special "Oh, Brother, What Art Thou?" The latter was pretty epic!

Saw "The Bone Identity/Grumpy Old Bees"

Bone Identity: Aweosme, great backstory for Happy and explains why KG Bianca was in "C'mon Get Happy!". 8.5/10

Grumpy Old Bees: Funny, but there have been better. Plus, Bessie was the only regular that was in the episode (mostly) 7.6/10

Will they someday premier "A Pirate's Life for B" (the segment that goes with "Mr. Turtleton's Wild Ride" which aired back on January)??

Golly, I hope so! There's still several episodes left to air.

Here's a fun article I wrote on why Ruby and Jade from Sofia The First are good characters.
Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
