Wow. You know, I've really got no idea what to make of all that. Nice to see that Raven and Lloyd don't despise each other after all, but what was that vision all about? And the fire in the Tower, too? That could be a problem.

Good work there. Very good work.:anime:

Um. . .WHERE in the world do I begin with this chapter?! This is. . .well, I have no clue. It was good though. . .Give me a minute. . .

I see a four eyed demon using the tower as a throne. I see Robin running with me on his back, through a desolate wasteland. I see a man of pages and paper, and the dragon he transforms into. I see Terra wearing some kind of body armour trying to crush me with a massive boulder. I see myself being given my first bra by an embarrassed monk. I see my mother in Azerath. I see the four eyed demon attacking Cyborg and Beast Boy in strangely familiar vision of Oblivion. I see boys I’ve loved, cute ones, hot ones, tall ones and short ones. All the people I’ve wanted to love but have feared to because of my powers. Wait… Boys I’ve loved…?!
That was my favorite part of this entire chapter(course you gave me a lot to pick from). This shows the mark of what a very good writer you are. . .you made me picture everything so very well in that one little part, and a couple of references to Raven in the show. Also, I can't believe that D kissed Raven! Another relationship brewing in this chaotic story. . .What are they going to do when they find out about Cy and Jinx? I can also see that D's and Raven's mind kind of meshed more than they believed. . .He's gotten a vision, and I'm not quite sure of what to make of it yet. Please, bring about the next chapter quickly, this is getting twisty. Hehehe, I like it.:anime:

PS: I agree with WM. Nice sig. . .:D

This story is almost finished, there are only two more viewpoints to go, but I'm having a little trouble fleshing them out. So next update maybe late next week.

Interesting fact about this thread: Everytime I the Author log on to the forums, the number of hits on this thread has increased by a number between 27 and 31. So I may not be getting many replies but I know a whole lot of people are reading this, or just one creepy guy who keeps clicking the link.....

Sorry. There's not much to do in the evenings round here.:p

I don't click on it, but I stare at the link a whole lot. . .*glances around*What?

Sorry for being late I was grounded. So amazing job it was very good. There was so much I loked that it would take me too long to tell you all of it. Can't wait for the next chapter

Yes I know its been a while, but I'd like think that one of you guys will reply some time soon.

‘Time for us to leave.’
Cyborg’s voice wakes from the half dozy state I was in. On the screen the credits lazily scroll upwards, like water droplets slowly making their way down glass, but inverted.

We get up and wait for the crowd to clear away from the doors before walking out. I adjust the wig; a few tufts of pink hair were sticking out around the sides. Walking out into the mall we both head off to the nearest exit.

‘Chinese or Mexican?’ Cy asks me without breaking stride.
‘Chinese.’ I answer straightaway.

The headlights from cars are reflected in the puddles on the sidewalk, a car rolls past and runs over a puddle near me, Cy steps in the way and absorbs the splash.
I thank him quietly.

The Chinese restaurant is while away. We know the way though. We only have a few meeting places, “The Golden Palace Of The Dragon”, the cinemas and “The Wise Migrant: Mexican Buffet” are the few places we ever meet in public.

‘Ello you pretty thing…’ A voice says from the dark recesses of an arcade on my left.

Street gangs, wanna be gangsters. Acting all tough and carrying knives, if I was a normal teenage girl, I’ll probably be found tomorrow morning naked in a pool of my own blood, but I’m not a normal girl, and Vic is not normal boy…

Their leader is wearing a hoodie and jeans, he looks so stereotypical I have to stop myself from breaking into hysterics. The rest of his five jerk team are slightly smaller clones of the leader.

‘You think something’s funny b****?!’ That phrase and others come from the general direction of the gang.

Vic grins, I stifle my laughter.

‘You just made the worst mistake of your lives!’ I yell at them.
‘Yo - whats that?’ the leader answers, I can’t help comparing him to a pit-bull dog trying to do Sodoku.
‘Your standing under an old fire escape.’ With that answer I raise my hands and hex the fire escape on the building to my left.
The old steel stairs and balconies fall in slow motion.
Vic steps forward and grabs a rail, before it lands on my head.
‘And for our next trick, I’m gonna throw this farther than a quarterback can throw a football!’
Vic yells, making a show of holding up the tangled mess of metal with one hand.

One of them reaches into his pocket, but before he can withdraw whatever gun or weapon he had, a bolt of light smacks into his arm, throwing him to the ground.

I snapped my head round in the direction of the bolt’s source. I can’t see any distinct shapes against the cloudy, rainy sky. There may have been something there, but it was to dark to tell.

Looking back to our former problem, I see that they’ve just whipped round the corner and the sounds of their running feet on the concrete echo for a while.

‘You can put it down now Vic.’
He shrugs and carefully lowers the metal heap onto the ground.
Neither of us say anything.

Our secret relationship, is no longer a secret.

·Cyborg
We make our way to the Wise Migrant in silence, no words are needed, we’re compromised.

Like two agents from opposite sides having a relationship in cold-war West Berlin, we took precautions but just that one event was bound to occur, the odds were against us.
Just like they’re against every single clandestine operative, be it spy or terrorist, who takes a course of action in secret, somebody is bound stumble across even the most hidden plans.

We eat our tacos, not in silence, but in that state of conversation where both sides are trying to make idle chitchat without mention that which occupies our minds at present.

Who?

How?

What will they do?

When did they initially find out?

What can we do to out manoeuvre them?

We both make our separate ways from the restaurant, through kitchen’s backdoor and through the ladies room window.

I think it would’ve been better executed if Jinx had gone out the window instead…

Getting back to the tower, I hear all my pals greetings, and questions. But I don’t really listen, my entire processing power, both the neurons of my brain and the microprocessors of my cybernetics analyse every single aspect of my life since the time we started dating.

After a period seemingly longer than eternity, I make it to my room.

I lie back against the mattress that now is part of my rest and recuperation slab. Plugging myself in I set my systems up for a complete data analysis. One of the major upsides to having both a silicon brain and living one is that the silicon one can think for me in my sleep.

But I don’t sleep. For the first time ever I have insomnia. How could they find me?

I wake the next morning tired, but functional.

Could it be Robin? Of every Titan that’s been a part of this team or the others, he’s the one most able to pull off a long-term surveillance op without being caught.

Robin walks in with a big grin on his face, and what might be a hickey at the bottom of his neck on the right side.

Could it be Starfire? It explains the energy bolt, but does she have the capacity to be so sneaky?

Looking at Star dig into her usual breakfast of Mustard and whatever alien god of tamarran knows, I conclude that the concept of being sneaky and devious is a little difficult for her to grasp…

Beast Boy? No, this guy knew what was up, BB’s a klutz if I ever met one.
Terra? Maybe, but her powers cause a distinct presence that makes it hard for her to shadow someone.
Raven? Quite likely. Raven is more familiar with devious, sneaky and general underhandedness than any of the team.

Lloyd interrupts my train of thought, by missing BB’s head with a slice of toast, spread with honey, the exact interruption is the impact of it on my normal eye.

After removing it from my face, a very messy Dead-Eye leaves the room to have a second shower this morning.

Unable to pickup where I left off, I make my breakfast, reaching for my corner of the fridge, with its many, many stacks of meat, I find a note pinned by a spoon to the steak I was going to eat. Pulling out the spoon I opened the piece of paper and read the note.

It was a printed out note, I wouldn’t be able to tell who did it, but the message was clear:

U O ME

I'll respond!

That was good, very interesting i wonder who it is? i think it might be Dead-Eye or Robin. Who knows but you. Any way as I was saying it was very good you got me hooked (again)

Can't wait for more. (Don't worry more people will respond)

Me, for example.:anime:

"It's been a while", you said. No kidding. The last time you posted on this thread was over six months ago...which makes these two chapters a little overdue, wouldn't you say?;)

But you're here now, and all's cool. It's rare that I can remember everything about a story after having left it for a half a year, but as soon as my eyes caugh those first few lines, it all came right back. What that's a testament to, I'm not sure, but it's good.

Anyway, onto the chapters. It seems our illicit lovers have a problem: no, they do have a problem, but the question is, how big? Whoever it is, they live in the Tower and they're not above blackmailing a friend, so we're clearly dealing with a closet nutter here. As Cyborg himself asked, who are they, how much do they know and, crucially, what do they want? Whatever their price is, it's going to be high, and it's going to be bad news.

And on an interesting note, I liked how they got revealed. It's not often that dumb street gangs get to be a genuine problem for a Titan.;)

Oh yes, and it's clear that your talent for comedy hasn't left you during your abscence:

I can’t help comparing him to a pit-bull dog trying to do Sodoku.

Need I say more?

Like Ravenfire, I'm as interested as ever. Just don't be so long over the next chapter, yeah?;)

Well what do I have to say for myself?
Life sucks without broadband, regular meals, healthy meals and annoying housemates with a penchant for coming home at 3 o'clock on a thursday morning.

Here's a little tip to those of you who are yet move out of home: DON'T!!

PS: What happend in the second part of that Doctor Who episode on the Impossible Planet. I wanna know how they beat the Uude, and their slightly dangerous friend from the pit..?

You frightened me Rever, I thought you had left the WFWC forever. . .but it's really good to see you back and writing again. Like Matt, I actually remember what has happened in this fic since you last wrote all those months ago, and that's quite the incredible feat. I like how you handle the characters. Okay, so, onto the characters interactions in the chapters at hand. I loved Jinx's point of view, in fact I love whenever she gets made into a character that seems a little more human than what we sometimes got in the actual television show.

Like the others, I find sympathy for Jinx and Cyborg. Sometimes love simply makes you pick the people on the opposite sides, eh? The last bit in Cyborg's POV was nice, the note left for him, a typed note. This is going to get very interesting. . .Also, you wrote something that made me laugh so very much:

I like the idea of the Titans being. . .I don't know. . .far more like teens than the show had the ability to portray. Of course that's because it was a kid's cartoon, censors, ect. Oh well. To get my main point across to you; that was written awesomely, the POV's still seem to be such a good idea for a style of writing, and it's great to see you back at Toonzone. I can't wait for the next update Rever.:anime:

Well, Well, Well.... I don't know why, I just suddenly had an urge to say that.

In my experience not many people tend to forget me, I on the other hand once forgot my former girlfriend's name, in her presence................

I'm basing some of this relationship stuff off things I did in high school and uni.
Thats why it seems so realistic and yet so strange and awkward, Truth can be stranger than fiction, take Jerry Springer, if you told that by someone at work, or in schol you wouldn't believe it, but actually seeing those weirdos you actually accept that things can be that..... wrong?

Enough flabbergasting

L'acte d'ouverture: Exorcism is good for you!

(I’m not sure that’s how you spell it)

·Cyborg:
“Bring!! Bring!! Bring!!” the telephone rings.
‘I got it!’ I yell. The phone has been ringing non-stop for the past week. The surprising part is that all the calls are for Raven…
Its probably something to do with the current crime wave. Something a little out of league for example; a horde of rabid ghosts, poltergeists, demons and all that stuff in Raven’s area.

‘Rae! ‘nother call for ya here!’ I yell across the room.
Raven is meditating on air at the main window. Next to her, although not airborne is Dead-Eye, sitting with his back against the glass.
Both of them are tired, they’ve been called out all hours of the night, Raven for the obvious reason that this is her specialty and Dead-Eye, well I’m not sure, but it seems is senses are able to detect and track these spirits we’re facing. They leave no scent, no chemical markings of their presence and no form of heat signature. But they do show up on Dead-Eyes more obscure senses, including his Tele-vision.

What you don’t know what his Tele-Vision is?
It’s Dead-eye’s trademark power!
One of the two main reasons we call him Dead-Eye is his vision, it practically doesn’t exist.
He just wears a thick pair of goggles that prevent anymore damage to his eyes.
His Psyhoempathicoptomancy as one of Rae’s books labels it, or Tele-Vision as BB calls it, is the power to locate someone’s mind, enter it and look through their eyes, seeing exactly what they see, with no lag. He can’t read the minds, but he can do that telepathy thing, but only those with a “Focused Mind”, so that drops out everyone but Raven and Robin, sometimes Terra can hear him but it’s not any distinct message.

He has a few other little oddities, his bone structure has more in common with a cat then human, he has metal plate in his skull that I’ve identified as being from the armour of a next-generation assault tank and finally, Dead-Eye is a little bit accident prone, I can see why he has the armour on the skull, but that doesn’t help with the repeated limb fractures and dislocations, the upside is that his body is able to fix these pretty quickly instead of six weeks with a cast, he take it off after a week.

But lets get back to whats happening now…

I toss the cordless phone at Rae, it sails through the air, and just as I think its about to hit her… It stops in mid-air, before slowly whirling around her head to sit angled between her ear and her mouth.

She talks for a few seconds before ending the call and lowering the receiver to the floor.
Dead-Eye gets up and Raven changes to hovering while standing. They start walking to the exit, slowly with the weary look that most parents have when their infant child tries to break the record in the number of diapers stained in an hour.

‘Uhh Cy, could you give me and Dee a lift, its just that I’m tired and Dee is… well yeah…’ she asks of me. At this point my sympathy kicks me in that soft spot.
‘Yeah sure’ I reply.
She runs to the garage, with Dee close behind, I’m barely able to catch them. When we finally get in the T-Car, Rae gives me the address, its on the other side of town

When we get there we find a nice two story house in that middle class neighbourhood that TV shows use to allude to the “American Dream”.
‘Here, you sure?’ I ask. Raven looks to Dead-Eye.
‘Yep…’ he breaths in. ‘Its here.’ He continues gazing up at the house.

When we ring the door bell, the door opens slowly, and are greeted by a pile of pink clothing, with a pink wig, pink wings and a pink wand.
’Are you the people… You’re the Titans!?! Are you here to make my sister better, the doctors and the priest and those other guys in funny clothes tried but they failed.

‘Um yeah, we here to make sister feel better. Where’s Mommy?’ Raven replies, her voice is that kind voice you use with children if something bad is happening, or about to happen to the family.

An exorcism, Teen Titans-style. This should be good. The suburbia location has me thinking of Edward Scissorhands more than a little, but seeing as it's a brilliant film, that's hardly a bad thing. Creepy things are often at their most creepy when in such run-of-the-mill places, so I'm expecting this to get very twisted indeed. Plus an exorcism done with your midnight-black humour is going to be cool anyway.:anime:

-Matt A-

This is going to get interesting because I can say for a fact, or at least to my best recollection, that I have never seen a Teen Titans fic use exorcism. It's going to be cool to finally see it done! I like the description on Dead-Eye once again, it refreshed me on some of the things we know about him. That was certainly a nice touch. Rever, this is gonna get good so don't leave us hanging!
PS: Sorry for being late. . .
