Very cool depiction of Catwoman! In fact the best, better than any in the
BTAS or
TNBA IMO and certainly better than that Halle Berry Earthaomage girl-power mess.
I'm sure the
BTAS snobs will find a way to slice this one up as well but this Catwoman is the best yet to me.
The good:
-FINALLY a Catwoman/Selina Kyle with LONG BLACK HAIR

! First
BTAS is forced to use the Michelle Phieffer blonde version(probably via movie cross promotion) with an old school comic book costume THEN on
TNBA they give her this Natalie Imbruglia short brunette do with a hideous light blue face

that just collectively SSSSSUUUUCCCKED

Tender Vittles and to this day is THE worst Catwoman design I have ever seen in my life, comics, cartoon, live-action or otherwise! I'm still haunted by the
TNBA Catwoman design to this day, it was repugnant and I don't care what abstract art school you hail from. I wasn't thrilled with Selina's characterization on
BTAS or
TNBA either. I honestly want to know
badly what "b.t." and co were thinking that they thought that the
TNBA Catwoman design had ANY appeal whatsoever or who the hell told them that looked good when they initially designed it

?
The Batman finally decided to take a more current comic book approach and it worked in spades for Catwoman AND me. Loved the goggles, the sleekness and of course the long black hair and a great redemption for the worst character design in the history of comic book animation TNBA's Catwoman!
-Gina Gershon is SATURATED with sexuality and Catwoman/Selina Kyle is the role she was clearly born to voice if not play on the big screen. PERFECT casting and she performed it letter perfect only enhancing the experience.
-The vehicles and gadgets are cool and detailed and very well done.
The Batman's Batcycle was far better than the bland unappealing ones of the original
BTAS.
I have very little bad to say about this ep so I won't. One question I do have for all these
The Batman contrived naysayers and bitter
BTAS snobs, if Glen Murakami and Alan Burnett are driving forces behind this series how bad and disrespectful did you think this series was going to be to "b.t." and the fans? OF COURSE they would try as hard as possible to do it justice with the astronomical pressure from the slightly overpraised and pretentious
BTAS and it's legions of fans waiting to pounce and harp on every lil misstep they do!
I've seen ALL four episodes and they've
all been pretty cool, the Joker being the weakest one and The Catwoman being the strongest and NONE less than three stars from me. "Cat and the Bat" I gave a 5, and I don't give many 5's!
