The 2011 toonzone Awards: Nominations (Ends 12/15)

Happy December and welcome to the 2011 edition of the toonzone Awards, everyone! The toonzone Awards are an annual Cafe tradition of recognizing our fellow members. They’re meant in good fun, as we appreciate each and every one of you that visits the boards, but we all love some acknowledgment. So put your award show hats on and let’s have a good time!

How it works:

1. Private message me with your picks by December 15, 2011 at 11:00 PM EST.
2. You may nominate up to three choices per category. Keep in mind this is the 2011 Awards thread, so keep your choices limited to this year.
3. I’ll post the nominees on December 16, 2011. We want to keep up a tradition of being upfront and public, so I’ll make an Excel spreadsheet of the nominations available then as well.
4. Private message me with your final picks by December 31, 2011 at 11:00 PM EST.
5. I’ll post the results on January 1, 2012. Happy New Year!

Just a few comments:

Moderators are the ones with the clubs and spades while the staff have hearts and diamonds by their names.

New members qualify if they registered December 2010 or later.

Best Animated Show may include anime. Best Comic may include manga.

Banned members are ineligible for any awards. We want to celebrate our currently active members, after all!

That being said, PM your nominations, up to three per category, to me (purplehairedwonder) and I will compile them in a spreadsheet. The top vote-getters in each category will move on to the voting phase. Feel free to post your nominations in this thread, but only the ones I receive via PM will count. You can run any other questions by me via PM or in this thread.

Remember, nominations end December 15, 2011.

Well, considering there is a rule about not talking about people who got banned. Not to mention it seems like something that is waiting to just cause problems. Of course this is all just my opinion.

Every year we're looking for better ways to improve the awards (changing categories and such) and this seemed like a logical adjustment to make to be fair to all the deserving members that we have that are active on the boards.

I guess I understand (my Best Member nominee was very active here for 3/4ths of the year, but if whatever reason for the banning disqualifies him from consideration, so be it). Out of curiosity, though, on the spreadsheet of all the nominations, would you include information on how many people nominated banned members?
