Teen Titans Go!
"Nature" airs Thursday, August 7th, 2014 on Cartoon Network
When Beast Boy loses his ability to change into animals, he realizes that he's lost touch with his wild side. He goes to the forest to reconnect with his inner beast, but Mother Nature isn't as great as he had hoped.

From what it seems like, August is going to be "give every member of the Titans a sort of focus episode" .... month, and this week would be Beast Boy. Really it's honestly hard to know what to say about this one really. I guess I didn't really like it that much as the only laughs I got was the giant monster being defeated by a lamp post, BB's horror in realizing he had been civlized, Raven's annoyance at the others mourning a deer skeleton thinking it's BB and the voice of Mother Nature. Honestly I think the ending would of been funnier if right after Robin ate Butterfly BB he turned into a giant like tiger or something and started eating him. You know twist the joke some. Honestly I really think more should of just been done with Mother Nature trying to "civilize" the forest under BB's guidance. And maybe actually pull more of a reverse Lorax with this working and saying that nature is the enemy. You know rub in the irony more instead of just having this pointless plot of Robin going native there because... I don't know someone wanted more Robin in this episode. As yeah that was by far the most interesting part as even BB failing at grasping nature is kind of a joke we've seen hundreds of times before. Even in a "need to do this to reclaim your powers" sort of way (which really wouldn't make sense with regular BB's power but you can't play by previous sources logic as TTG obviously plays with their own). Still just sort of a there episode. Honestly hearing what it was about didn't make it sound appeasing and like it'd have to try really hard to get me to care and it felt like part of it had an idea but the rest... just felt like jokes we've seen before. And not done in a fresh enough way here to really matter. Honestly a weaker episode from season 2 and hope the rest of this "other non Robin Titan focus epiosdes" wind up being better then this one.

This episode was a lot like Regular Show's "Catching the Wave," with Beast Boy in Pop's role. However, that episode was a lot better because the supporting cast had a much smaller role and the story focused primarily on Pops' dilemma. Pops actually struggled in that episode (against bullies, against his own physical limitations), here there's a quick failure montage, Beast Boy meets Mother Nature, she just goes along with his suggestions with no resistance, and then BOOM issue resolved. Catching the Wave's resolution was typical Regular Show fare (zany, sudden, over the top), but at least it felt earned. The subplot featuring the rest of the team also felt kind of flat. Robin freaks out (as usual), Starfire and Cyborg overreact along with their leader, and Raven is the only one with any common sense. I think the side-story would have been more compelling if the team actually wound finding evidence that supported Robin's Deer King story, but there probably wasn't enough time for that anyway. I thought Robin using Cyborg as a jet pack was kind of cool, but this was just kind of a disappointing episode all around.

Here's a fun article I wrote on why Ruby and Jade from Sofia The First are good characters.
Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
