Webtoons and Tapastic two increasingly popular comic publishers have merged.
Tapastic was created by the founders of Lycos to support comic creators on their site and apps specifically designed for devices you tap. In addition, Tapastic has a strong relationship with key webtoon promotion agencies. Popular series such as Michelin Star1, Like A Wolf3, and Jack, The American Ghost2 are on Tapastic.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tapastic will acquire all of Webtoon’s assets at an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is expected to finish in the fourth quarter of 2014.
