This week...
The park guys want to get rid of a very large bird in the park.

And just like that Regular Show became Megas also this episode would have benefited from a soundtrack

This episode was pretty good. The mecha fight was massive, but it wasn't as intense as the Death Battle between Tigerzord and Gundam Epyon. I didn't get much of a rush from this.

I do give it credit for the amount of mecha tropes it used. It's like I was watching Megas XLR.

EDIT: Also, here's the promo art for tonight's episode. I just found it.

That was off the wall I have to say. I'm not sure which I dug more, the toy company jokes or the mecha references. I loved seeing everyone get sucked into this, complete with the Power Rangers-style cutaways of the separate vehicles launching from remote locations. Still, I'm a little surprised they didn't hold this one back for episode 200. I wonder what they have planned for that milestone?

I know that its completely overshadowed by the main story, but I love Pops's terrified reaction to the cassowary.

Toy Company Satire: Spot on
Meta Jokes: 8
Mecha References: 10
Beyond the Impossible: 10
Breakneck Pacing: 9

Final Score: 46

This episode is awesome. From Benson's constant cynicism to the Ultimate Mecha Duck. I don't have anything specific to comment on because it was all so good. I need to make a GIF of the Mecha Duck being powered up by the cop car.

I didn't like this one very much. Felt like it should've been an 11-minute episode, like A Bunch of Full Grown Geese.

It was too weird for me. That's not to say I don't enjoy when my shows get super weird, because I definitely do, but I'm just not a fan of the source material they were poking fun of in the first place. And seeing as thought the entire episode is based around the absurdity of those sorts of shows, it REALLY wasn't my cup of tea. I'm thankful for Benson though, he was actually making me laugh throughout this strange journey.

At first I was happy when JG announced there would be more half-hour specials this season, but if this is any indication on how the others would be like maybe it's best to just keep the two-part episodes to special occasions (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween), or for specific character development such as "The Real Thomas" or "Skips' Story".

EDIT: Lol I swear I don't purposely post my opinions on here to constantly contradict the popular consensus on episodes... I just always seem to not enjoy certain episodes as much as most do, and vice-versa.

Personally I dug it, if not because they just kept topping themselves until they pretty much went full Gurren Lagaan. I was amused by the focus testing joke, largely because it reminded me of this Giancarlo Volpe comic strip that reveals the lady focus tester's clueless misunderstanding may be more accurate than we think.

Also I love the opening theme song to this episode. That is a thing of beauty. Though I agree with the others, this special could have benefited from a sountrack.

This was an awesome day for CN. Three amazing special premieres of my favorite shows, none of which disappointed me. Retro-style Clarence, origin episode of Steven Universe, and half-hour Regular Show mech fight. They couldn't have timed a better string of premieres in a single day.

This one was really good episode, it felt very Power Ranger/Transformer episode too.

This was the best Regular Show episode I've seen in a VERY long while
it was the sort of insanity that made me like the series in the first place

loved how they managed to pretty much recreate every anime intro ever

it is really good that even tho this is my least favorite current CN show, it still manages to produce content this good

also, missed opportunity
I thought they were going to combine with the space-station

Seemed to be an excuse to have a number of callback references to earlier references. This was better than majority of the season, but I really just was not feeling it. Even for a 22 minute show, it felt too quickly paced. The geese were way too aggressive in making them sign the contract.

I can't believe there's not more comments on the Evangelion style intro. I just went through that thing with some frame-by-frame and was amazed how much great stuff there was in there. I was wondering if this meant it might end with something like a Regular Show style Third-Impact (which I can't even possibly imagine). Though we did get a Regular Show styled Itano Circus, which was pretty amazing.

This felt like a non-canon episode.
The whole story felt weird even for Regular Show and the part where they showed an audience watching the battle makes it feel like the episode was made just to have fun with (which isn't a bad thing).
The Geese changing sides was a nice touch though.

On a side note, anyone find it odd that both this episode and the Clarence episode which premiered the day before both involved geese?

This episode was off the hook. Hell, the intro song alone made this episode great.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
