why is Static Shock not available on dvd boxsets like the rest of the DCAU? If they can put the zeta show on dvd, then why not this?

Less boxsets, plausibly more marketability. Problem was, season 1 was crap and only 12 episodes. It should have been a single boxset containing the entire series. I'll admit I find it odd there wasn't at least a "best of" set, though for Static.I have no idea...how the heck they release Zeta ahead of Static???![]()

Might be a licensing issue, what with the guest stars the show had, like Shaq and Li'l Romeo.
You know, somehow I doubt you'd hear much fan outrage if they were to release the whole series sans celebrity guest episodes.
I wonder if the people who developed Zeta also worked on Static. The shows look have a similar look to them.
Not to get off topic, but your right, the two shows had pretty similar animation.
I would. There's no point in buying a complete series set if it's missing episodes. And both Romeo in the Mix and Duped (featuring A.J. MacClain) were pretty good episodes in their own right (ESPECIALLY RitM) and Duped was somewhat important for Rubberband Man too. Hoop Squad sucked though and Static Shaq was only so-so. I still wouldn't buy a set without them though. You know, somehow I doubt you'd hear much fan outrage if they were to release the whole series sans celebrity guest episodes.
