Not very surprised to say the least and given the third film's mid-credits scene, I wonder who will voice Amy Rose in this.Sonic 4 is on the horizon in 2027.![]()

We all willI will be there.
Missed my birthday by a couple weeks, but can't wait!
Wouldn't it make more sense for Ben Schwartz to voice Metal? He's literally a metallic clone of Sonic. You know part of me was banking/kind of hoping for Kristen Wiig to voice Amy, but Bell probably in a lot of aspects is probably a better choice. She can play very chipper and love stricken and passionate but can also deliver those serious moments that I would hope this take on Amy would have as well. And by serious moments I do want them to go more with the classic games "Amy is a super passionate fan and is lovestruck by Sonic" angle to give her more CHARACTER and not just be a boring girl boss archtype. I do doubt that since you wouldn't cast Bell for that sort of role but I guess there is that fear. Still this is really good news.
Now we need the casting of Metal Sonic which I don't think will happen but if I can throw my hat into the ring I'd go with Jaleel White. Not just for the AOSTH/Sonic SatAM cred but I'd want him to play Metal Sonic kind of like how Chaos Sonic was portrayed in Sonic Prime; as a much more over the top and chaotic and intentionally obnoxious kind of antagonist. Like the writers admitted they do want to do different things with each movie and we already had the more serious Knuckles and then Shadow for Sonic to face off against so how about going with a take on Metal Sonic that would allow them to do something DIFFERENT in terms of how the films go?
Nice hammer he's got there

"Jim Carrey Confirmed For Sonic The Hedgehog 4"
![]()
"You might have noticed that the last two Sonic The Hedgehog movies have ended with Dr. Robotnik’s presumed death. He fell from a great height in Sonic 2, then he was at the center of a space explosion in Sonic 3. Also in Sonic 3, he had a “redemption arc” of sorts where he fought back against his evil papa (also played by Jim Carrey). The implication is that both times, they didn’t think Carrey would sign up for another movie.
And why would they? At the time, Carrey was publicly making remarks about retirement. He said he was done with movies around the time of Sonic 2’s release. But the world’s first teaser for Sonic The Hedgehog 4 was released yesterday, and Carrey’s Eggman is on the list of returning characters. Looks like we got him for life. (Good thing Robotnik wasn’t played by Chuck Norris.)"

That Metal Sonic stand-in is a thing of beauty
