I don't if i should be sorry for creating this extra thread but do you remember that game called Sonic CD? (Men, that game was awesome because of the speed and the bonus levels:p). And i think everybody knows that Sonic Metal was the antagonist in this game... But Sonic Metal only appears in one level... and it's only to race, not to fight him...

Do you think it was false advertaisment?

He was ONE of the antagonists, but not the main one.

I wouldn't call it false advertising. Fans just really seem to love the Sonic/Metal Sonic race scene. I personally think it's possibly the most overrated aspect of the Sonic franchise.

You can get this game for the Gamecube on the Sonic Gems Collection. That's how I got to play it anyway. Never got around to beating it. But on day.

I was also introduced to it through Gems Collection. I suck when it comes to the old school games (still do), but I breezed right through this one. Way too easy. Fun, though.

Metal Sonic, actually appears in two levels. The first time we see him is when Amy gets kidnapped, and like you said we don't see him again till the end of the game.

I love Sonic CD, but I don't understand why it's praised as the best Sonic game ever. Sure, the games pretty fast, it has the Sonic peel out, but the game itself is just to easy. I'd have to say the boss fights in Sonic CD are the easiest of all of the older Sonic games.

That is so true.:D I'd say that the final boss on Sonic 2 is the hardest...

Your right. Try fighting Mecha Sonic and that huge Dr. Eggman battle suit with no rings. That was tough for me when I was a kid.

What? He is easy when you know what you are doing, if you want a real challenge use the debug cheat to fight both Dr. Eggman and Mecha Sonic at the same time.

I've never heard of that trick. How do you do it?

It is a well known glitch that occurs when you enter debug mode and use the box with the arrow to force the game to load the rest of the level then use debug to move forward so the game code creates the final boss then use debug mode to move your position back to Mecha Sonic or back to the start position of Eggman to create more final bosses, of course it is not really a glitch since it can only be activated in debug mode. The debug mode in the Sonic games on the Genesis (and SCD) were actually used for testing by Sega meaning it is possible to really screw up the game in debug mode.

Here is a YouTube video showing final boss in debug mode.

Actually, he appears in every level. You can find him beating up animals in each level and if you blow him up the third act will be the good future instead of the bad future.

I agree completely. The entire time travel aspect seems more like a gimmick than something that actually enhances the gameplay. The levels are all so boring. I mean, what is the difference between the Quartz Quadrant, the Wacky Workbench, and Metallic Madness? They all seem practically the same. The rest of the levels are all poor copies of the Sonic 1 levels. I mean, I know the Sonic games tend to repeat level ideas a lot, but this is the absolute worst. There isn't a single original level design in the game. I also hate that they changed the music in the American version of the game. The Japanese music was so much better. I don't know why they changed it. I especially hate the American boss music. I mean, honestly, it can't even really be called music. It's just a bunch of eerie noises.

That is so true.:D I'd say that the final boss on Sonic 2 is the hardest...

Actually, the first boss on Sonic 2 for Game Gear is the hardest. The thing is absolutely ridiculous. You basically just need dodge rocks while on a slope until the boss kills itself, but the rocks are completely unpredictable and if you move just the tiniest bit down the slope you fall into the boss's mouth and die. Oh, yeah. Sonic 2 for Game Gear doesn't give you any rings for any of the bosses. So, basically if you move down the slope, you die. If you move up the slope, you won't be able to see the rocks coming, and you'll die. If you stand still, you'll die. It's one of the most ridiculous boss fights I've ever played.

I'll say one thing... Sonic Boom is better than that atrocity the Japanese had for the intro.

I bought Sonic Gems Collection to see what the hubbub over Sonic CD was and ultimately I was disappointed. Not saying it was a terrible game, but I wouldn't even consider calling it the best Sonic game ever. The time travel was more annoying than anything else, the level design was boring, the music was forgettable... I honestly can't see why so many Sonic fans consider this the best game. It's no Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 & Knuckles, that's for sure.

The Japanese Sonic CD theme is in both Sonic Adventure (as either the invincibility or speed-up music) and Sonic 2 Game Gear for the Green Hills Zone.

As for the game itself, the "time travel" ability was its main selling point, but there really wasn't much of a point to it other than to create a good future in the act if you destroyed Dr. Robotnik's machine in the past. The bonus levels were the best part of the game though.

Agreed. The tune itself was great, but the lyrics were ridiculous. Any song that uses the phrase "toot toot" is ridiculous by default.

It always annoyed me how Sega has never released Sonic CD in the US with the Japanese soundtrack.

Same here, Sonic CD had in my opinion the best soundtrack of all of the pre-Dreamcast era Sonic games.

I'm especially saddened by the change of the boss theme, its just not the same without "Come on now! Work that sucker down!".

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.
