Not getting to that
So, I was just looking around here and I found this:
I heard somewhere that Nickelodeon and Nelvana were opting to buy Fox Kids’ airtime for 2002, cooperating on an action-focused block, before 4Kids bought it out. Here’s what I think that would look like, with three out of the four hours airing the previous night on Nickelodeon.

8:00 AM: Rescue Heroes(E/I)(NEW TO FOX!)
8:30 AM: ChalkZone(E/I)(NEW TO FOX!)
9:00 AM/7:00 PM: The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius(NEW EPISODES!)(NEW TO FOX!)
9:30 AM/7:30 PM: Speed Racer X(NEW EPISODES!)(NEW SERIES!)
10:00 AM/8:00 PM: Beyblade(NEW EPISODES!)(NEW SERIES!)
10:30 AM/8:30 PM: Medabots(NEW EPISODES!)(NEW TO NICK!)
11:00 AM/9:00 PM: Invader Zim(“NEW“ EPISODES!)(NEW TO FOX!)
11:30 AM/9:30 PM: Cardcaptors(NEW SERIES!)
Evidently, by this, @Tacomaster posted this and said that he heard that Nickelodeon and Nelvana was bidding for Fox's Saturday Morning Lineup, teaming up on a action block, but they obviously got outbid by 4Kids Entertainment and managed to turn it into Fox Box from 2002 until 2005, when they changed it to 4Kids TV from 2005 to 2007 when it went under it's final branding as 4KidsTV: The Game Station until the block ended in 2008.

Then Nickelodeon went on to launch SLAM!, which failed miserably, they tried action from then and there after that with their most notable action shows being Power Rangers, Danny Phantom, Avatar and the 2009-2014 era of Nicktoons.

Despite that, it is very interesting to see what could have been and what could have happened if Nelvana and Nickelodeon actually won the slot.

Nelvana would eventually make Deliah and Julius, Grosslogy, Bakugan, Class of the Titans, 2010-2016 Beyblade and some other action, or at least "action-y comedy" or "comedic action" shows after this point.

Nickelodeon would eventually have My Life As A Teenage Robot, Danny Phantom, The X's, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Tak and the Power of Juju, The Penguins of Madagascar, Monsters Vs. Aliens, The Legend of Korra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Winx Club and some other originals or co-productions as well as acquisitions across their whole family of networks such as Martin Mystery, Shuriken School, Kappa Mikey, Speed Racer: The Next Generation, Three Delivery, Wolverine and the X-Men, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Power Rangers, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh and various other acquisitions in this kind of field.

I'd imagine that that's how SLAM! first came to be, but once they lost the bid, they put it on Nick itself.

And let's say that this did happen...

What do you think would have happened if they won the bid?

Probably wouldn't have lasted long, like Nick on CBS.

An potential UPN/Nick action thing for 1999-2000

4:00PM/5:00PM: Pokemon
4:30PM/5:30PM: Sonic Underground
Yeah, idk if this would do well. The block would have to be longer, plus I don't think UPN had a very strong viewer base at the time.

Yeah, I just randomly thought of that.

I have a far better idea for a far better AU.
