I think I've gotten whiplash from the sudden rewrite of Lex 2.0 into Superboy. Did they really think this would pass for a decent transition? "Hey - he's got dark hair, amnesia and super-powers now...between episodes no less!" Jarring.
The last time we saw him, Tess was about to murder him, and now....it's all plucky music and eye-jaculation jokes? HUN?
And for Lois to be the one voicing my questions...is unnerving...to say the least.
I'm only watching to see more of/the last of Lionel. That opening scene with him and Tess wasn't as well-written as his previous ones in "Beacon", so that was disappointing.
The plan for getting rid of Lionel is to convince the world he's from another universe? Yeah,
that'll make Lois seem
much more credible in the eyes of the world.
This is all about Connor. So boring. Why can't we just deal with Lionel being back? Why couldn't we see him retake his empire a little? Or him and Tess having some kind of plot-line together? They share, what...? Two scenes?
And also - Connor on Red K is really boring. He goes after Lois? Meh. Where's the motorcycle? The rapist thing is dull. But then, so is the new good character going bad within one hour.
I do love seeing the mansion all burned-up though...
Here's a question: if Lionel wants Conner instead of Clark, why not just force the kryptonite into his mouth and let him die?
This whole episode just seemed to be constructed around Conner, and that's really annoying. Him in plaid, though, is pretty funny. Since when do High School classes start after spring break???
Confused: If Tess only recently found out she's the heir to the Luthor fortune because Lionel was her father, then who is necessarily going to be believe that NewLionel is from another world over the possibility that her adoption-related papers were forged? This show's logic is so mirror-opposite to anything in the real world. In reality, they'd doubt the signature on one piece of paper over a flesh-and-blood person standing right in front of them.
And here's one big question the show has never answered: How do Lois and Clark have kids? Isn't he only able to have sex if he's de-powered in some way? Does this mean he and Lois have yet to "do the deed"?

Now they're going to waste precious Lionel time by involving him with CGI Darkseid??
Such a downer episode for me. They're just going to keep throwing characters and concepts at each other instead of choosing what's most interesting...like the dynamics that made the show fun in the first few seasons.
