Hiya. Been a while.

Well, I'm sorta but not really back from the psuedo-dead (I love being vague), and have begun to draw a bit again. But, that's not why I'm posting.

I made a Dirge of Cerberus 'theatric' trailer. God help us all. Here (YouTube version), and here (Higher quality Google version; whup-dee-do) respectively.

Ordinarily, I'd not do this, but after spending, all told, about three full days making this thing, I have to admit, I like the outcome. There are a few minor details I'd like to fix, but I'll be damned if I'm reuploading these buggers again, so screw that, they stay.

Well, since I egged you on through this one, I should say in public that I love the results. I remember the original draft without the quote at the end -- it's a nice clincher. You've always had a knack for beat synchronization and very good taste in music. You would think that the song that you chose would be something off the DoC soundtrack, but nope, it's WoW. And you didn't use the cliche crying Lucrecia shot. Thank you!

^^ Thankee much. Yeah, that Sin line pretty much has "put me in a trailer, dammit" stamped onto its proverbial forehead. Really, initially that's what I based the entire song around. Then I realized how much sweet action the cutscenes had and squee'd a little on the inside.

Yes. Squee'd.

As we speak, I'm drawing a piccy of our pal Vinnie, inspired by a conversation I had with GS about Marlene and Vincent's claw, and, well, yeah. Stay tuned!

I started listening to the song, "Mordred's Lullaby" by someone named Heather Dale this morning, after watching an incredible FFVII video with that as its background music. I got inspired, so I drew out this.

From beginning scribbles to end, it took me probably around an hour or so. It's not neat or refined, but then, that's the entire point. (Well, that, and I didn't feel like going through the motions of coloring it all detailed. I'm still knee-deep in Vincent's cloak. ><) The wobbly lines are more or less intentional, and where it wasn't, it was a happy accident that worked into my favor. That doesn't change the fact that I still suck at inking. So yeah. Go me. ; ; >munches on cookies and disappears<

As I said before, it's a lot more free and fierce than most of your other work, which tends to be very refined and detailed. I do like it a lot. It's a nice little burst of energy.

Seriously. The man just doesn't get enough love. Nicest character ever, and he gets boned like nobody's business.

I drew this on a whim yesterday, and tossed on a rather crappy coloring job when I was finished. Wasn't even gonna try to emulate grass beyond what was around his legs, so I just left it as is. Pretend it's something other than globs of color. Not the greatest pic ever, but...crap, it's Laguna, and he never gets enough attention, so I say, spread the Laguna love! ^^

No, I'm not fangirly at all. Honest.

Edit: And as an added bonus, a bit of humor:

Laguna: "You looked like you could use a hug!"

Hee. ^^ Thankee, I'm glad to hear that I got him right then.

I also want to find a way to lock Sephy and Laguna in a room together (and where Sephy cannot kill, maim, or otherwise physically injure Laguna) an see what happens. Sephy would probably drive Laguna to tears eventually, but hey, it'd be fun while it lasted.

Actually, I moreso envision Laguna singing gaily from atop a table, belting his little guts out, while Sephy is cowering under the table, hands over his ears. And I think Sephy would cry first.

The Laguna sitting image... awesome. I have to disagree about the lack of BG or grass elements, the 'lack of' those makes the main character really stand out. It really showcases the emotion or feeling that Laguna is expressing. Oh, and the forearm (the one on his knee) is near perfect in execution.

Yay, nice to know my laziness in backgrounds actually turned out to be effective this time around. And the forearm was a pain; I haven't looked at my anatomy book in near two years, so I forget how to do all that nice stuff.

Because, y'know, getting up, walking ten feet, and flipping it open to the pages necessary is just so damn difficult and all. >.>

Anywho, I'm glad it didn't turn into a wreck. Laguna needs more love, it's that simple. And more love I do plan to give. Wow, that sounded wrong. Oh well. ^^

On another note: WTF, Saphyroth!
