I saw this episode and...

Yeah I thought it was great, and hilarious, but WTH are the creators thinking with showing Daphne in her undergarments. Again I will ask as I did earlier: Is this show meant for adults or kids? I want to love this show, but it is a little too risque at times for my taste, epsecially for a kids cartoon, or am I just being to soccer mom like?

D.
They used to show her nighties in the classic episodes (like Bigfoot with Laurel & Hardy come to mind). Mighty cute too, like her dress, but without sleeves and lighter and cut lower, of course. So what are they showing now, for it to be such a surprise? Just panties and a bra? I guess that would be pushing it, though her beach outfit would basically be the same thing (2 piece bikini/bra).

Yeah I get it, I was just set back a bit cause I truthfully don't watch CN very often anymore, so I wasn't sure where they set their standards or what not, but I still like this show along with Generator Rex, (I wish Symbionic Titan wasn't cancelled though)

Yeah! Who would have thought?:p

My thoughts:
I loved this episode. It was funny and the mystery was good. Applause for Velma for not letting her heartbreak get in the way of good judgment. I thought the Fred and Daphne moments were cute. And interesting to know that Daphne sleeps in her underwear...I mean wth? Lol at the Sheriff getting lost in the closet and Fred's "She digs me!!". Also dancing swordfish=best clue ever.

Well...
Those aren't underwear they're called nighties. As for them showing her in them I don't think that's "adult" at all. In fact it's a double standard seeing as how any male character can run around in his pajamas or boxers for an entire episode without any complaint. (This hasn't happened but if it did no one would call it inappropriate).

Another thing is...
I don't understand why people on the show still buy into monsters being real. Remember how the series started off with Velma telling people how all of the monsters turned out to be hoaxes? Well it happens in every episode!

I think what really threw me off was:
The fact she wakes up and all these people are in her room. I was like "Dude I would be like O_O if that happened to me." Boxers are one thing but it looked like she was wearing just a sports bra and underwear which I think many people were surprised by the choice of pjs for her. Yes, there is a double standard but modesty is different for woman and men in todays society. For example I can't run around outside with my shirt off but guys can because its considered impolite for a female to run around topless. In the olden days it was considered scandalous to have woman show their calves, but time does change. So maybe one day we will all be able to run freely in our undies outside (or just join a nudest colony) but til then we just got to deal with modesty and how it is now.

But believing in monsters are their stream of revenue!!:p

Aside from the revenue stream issue....

The "monsters" look more real than ever before. Sure their motivations are often silly, but until the unmasking, the scenes look mighty scary and makes the viewer think, "Maybe it could be real this time". I never got that feeling from the monsters in "WNSD" for example.

Besides, it's possible the creators might go in a supernatural direction later on; I think they're keeping their options open.

Although it's technically a different continuity, in "Zombie Island" the monsters were all fake... until the gang met up with Lena and Simone.

I wouldn't be surprised if near the end something real does show up.
Edit: Yo guys, got a preview for episode 16: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KANI2dpXLw
April Fools!!! :D.....(don't hate me. DX)

Finished watching episode 16. This was a interesting episode. The villian reminded me of Zomba from the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.

Oh and....

Fred's dad and the sheriff in love, HILARIOUS!

Just saw The Wild Brood and like the whole monster bikers and about the whole fanservice:

In my opinion i think they where more risky when they shown Daphne in bikini and when she was with Hex Girls, looking Daphne in underwear it was a surprise but at the same time i feel its not that big of a deal since like i mention before they already done risky situations with the bikini and rock outfit.

Now saw Where Walks Aphrodite:

So far its my fav episode aside of Professor Pericles appearing this episode the villain did look like zomba from one of the 13 ghost.

I really like the dark atmosphere this episode has and really nice touch on the Invasion of the Body Snatchers homage and when the gang where hitting the people with slime reminds me of the slime blowers the Ghostbusters used.

The ending was a real twist! I knew they shouldn't trust Pericles but didn't thought he was the one who gave the villain the formula for the love sick and it does make sense i mean he's smart but how did he deduce an antidote for it? Now we know what Pericles wants but what its his intentions? Also what relation Pericles and Mr. E has and when Angel shown up to save the gang i don't know if she was shock to see Pericles, hope they show more on future episodes

Best episode.

Yeah it wasn't too bad in retrospect. I think it just caught everyone off guard tho. XD

Edit:Saw episode 16 (for real this time. :D)
I liked this episode. Professor Peritcles is creepy. And the monster was also creepy. I like how Fred said "I don't need aphrodite's spell to care about you." Awwww. :)
I'm very excited for episode 17, its the trap episode. :D

Actually,
there are also elements of [the original] "Carrie" as well. To a degree, "Night of the Living Dead" too (all those "love zombies" who did Aphrodite's bidding).

One of the best lines came from Mayor Jones:

"Silver plated see-saws Fred! You're not 'in the love' anymore? Now I'm gonan have to let out an unearthly yowl and destroy you!"

Not to mention his trying to add to the stream of revenue by
selling "Stay in the love" T-Shirts, pins and caps! Even under a spell it's all about the money with him!

How the heck did Angel even know to rescue the gang? I can buy her malfunctioning olfactory senses prevented her from being affected by the love potion, but how would that mean she knew to find the gang (shortly after having been given an antidote no less!) and save them?

I'm calling it:

Based on ep 16,
Pericles is in some sort of contest with Mr. E in pursuing the Treasure of Crystal Cove. I suspect it's Ricky Owens (from the original Mystery Inc.). Cassidy is also still alive under her alter ego, "Angel Dynamite". They were the Shaggy/Velma of the original group. Pericles came in between them as Scooby came in between Shag & Velma. There will be comparisons so close to the gang's current relationships that Shaggy & Velma will get back together (or inspired to do so) because Ricky and Cassidy lost so much due to Pericles' interference years earlier. Ricky and Cassidy will reunite and make up for lost time.

I loved Fred & Daphne's chat in the theatre!
Fred's getting smarter when it comes to his feelings!

Shaggy and Velma are still not ready, but their scenes while under the influence of the love potion were still cute.
That heart Shaggy drew on the window? Him feeding her junk food at the Clam Shack? Adorable!!

Fred's on the soccer team? Never would have guessed! Does that mean Crystal Cove is in... Europe? Not to offend soccer fans but it's not the sport I was expecting to see here. Also interesting that he's been missing games... perhaps due to a certain red haired girl??

Sooby Snacks! Yay!!

Also enjoyed Fred's
explanation about "Hot Dog Girl"!

Cameo alert!!

Did you catch Suzi Chan and Pebbles in the stands during the teaser?

My thoughts on the episode:
Very good even though the villian was easy to guess but the best bit was Pericles helping Scooby and the gang which turned out to be a ruse for him to get information on locating the treasures of Crystal Cove, the fact Angel got shocked when she saw him indicates she may be Cassidy. I wonder if we'll find out what happened to Judy and Brad.

I also wonder if this treasure is a red herring and is the reason for all the disapearances. I wonder if the original Mystery Incorporated discovered it but something happened that caused them to split up and turned Pericles into what he is

I still think that:
Angel is related to Cassidy, like her sister. Cause her being Cassidy seems a bit too obvious to me. :/

Indeed! Can't wait how much revelation they will add on future episodes.

I guess I'd better not read too many of the spoilers or I won't be surprised when the episodes actually air. Though maybe I'll check out the episode 16 preview though.

Was anyone else reminded of "Anastasia"
when the train ran off the destroyed bridge and exploded?
I bet railfans would NOT enjoy that episode.

From episode 15? Yeah! I thought of that too. :anime:

Actually another movie comes to mind from that episode, Back to the Future part 3 “the train scene”. After watching that episode I had to watch the Back to the Future trilogy all over again.

OK, I have to admit, regarding Episode 15, I LOVED the Wild Brood!
I do kinda think it's a shame they aren't really REAL suave orcs and just a bunch of video game-developing geeks in latex masks and suits, but then again that's for another time. Aside from that, that sort of thing kinda reminds me of ME, but in a somewhat different manner :D
They kind of remind me of A Band of Orcs (Google it up to see what I mean), but the Wild Brood are cooler and more awesome. I sure do hope they make a comeback in a future episode. Were the writers spying on me and my friends' online conversations or something? ;)

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
