On the "Guest Stars If The New Scooby Doo Movies is revived" thread, someone mention the Archies as candidates to appear on a show that featured guest stars of the week. Well in this series, with all this romantic tension, Mystery Inc is acting more and more like the people from the world of Archies.

Velma seems a bit ‘different’ – not as bossy as in some incarnations. Is that by design?
Velma and Fred have probably gotten the biggest character makeovers. The idea for Velma was to make her more like a cool ‘Comic-Con’ girl who is really smart, quick with a comeback, into underground music and horror movies – a little like Juno from the movie of the same name. She’s also the kind of girl who makes up for her insecurities by being a little bit rough around the edges in terms of her interpersonal relationships with the gang. Velma’s biggest struggle is that she is smarter than everyone and it sometimes gets annoying to her that not everyone can keep up. In terms of her relationship with Shaggy, she is much more comfortable with it than he is. Shaggy is still a boy, whereas Velma is becoming a woman. As a couple, their biggest problem is that Velma is looking for a commitment that Shaggy may not be emotionally ready or mature enough for. And that hurts.

So they did make her a Tsundere on purpose.

Anyway, did the interviewer seriously said that Velma is in this show LESS bossy? Did he even watch the show (or any Scooby show at all?)

I think he means by taking command when Fred's not around or that she wants Shaggy and Scooby to follow her when they are looking for clues.

Not being bossy on the relationship of her and shaggy.

Episode 14, which is a very special episode for the fans.

Hmmm. Maybe the original voices come back for one special episode?

Maybe some special couple gets those kind of kisses that involve 360 degree turns!

Perhaps a dream sequence to get a look inside the gang's subconscious!

Or perhaps we'll find out there's a Scooby Multiverse (not unlike DC Multiverse) which would explain why there are so many incarnations of the show and very little canon between them!

Or maybe episode 14 will feature a guest appearance by Scrappy-Doo or even Red Herring. It's possible...

They say something for the fans, i think its something cool and not some kind of torture thing to show Scrappy Doo tho i don't mind Red Herring appearing, he made me laugh.

I know a big difference is because of its constant presence, more kids know Scooby Doo than what I am about to suggest, though Archie Comics is still around and I am sure their are people read that. But given the success of this show, and having romantic tension and have the Scooby gang act more like teenagers, it makes me crave even more a revision of Josie And The Pussycats, one that is more true to the Archie Comics version.

I have suggesting for years since they had a Sabrina cartoon in the late 90's, but I would love to have seen a new Josie And The Pussycats that is a mixture of Archie Comics and the Hanna Barbara versions. Have the characters act like they do in the comics, but still have the villain of the week plot. Alexander can be the snob scheming jerk, Alan and Alexander would be rivals, Melody fan service, Josie and Valerie jealousy of the attention Melody gets from boys. That is stuff we never got to see animated, and if kids like the drama of Mystery Inc., I think they would like Josie and the gang without the teen drama edited out.

Anyway, the evil twin thing was a pet theory of mine for a while but I don't think thats the case XD. I like this Fred, he has more of a personality in this show then he has had in many years.

Perhaps a little TOO much personality; after all, the star of the show is supposed to be the MASCOT, not the guy with the ASCOT.

As once a great person said "When pigs fly" Seriously Ranting you're being a bit nagging on the whole Velma and Fred, if you don't like it don't watch it simple as that. And yes i know you're a Scooby fan but even fans have to admit it won't be good in their opinions, if you like we can tell you when Velma breaks with Shaggy ok but for now let us enjoy the show.....hope i'm not being rude here.

Wouldn't that be a bit unrealistic having Dynomutt in the show? Besides Dynomutt's a dumb robotic version of Scooby anyway.

Might be, CN seems to do this with their shows nowadays taking a long break until like 3 or 4 months(even more) will air more episodes tho i do hate that instead of showing 13 episodes they now show 9 episodes.

Yeah. That would be neat to find out the Velma we see is her evil twin Thelma Dinkley or something, then the real Velma comes back and the Velma/Shaggy/Scooby thing somehow gets settled.

I often wondered about that too. It seems like Fred may not be totally oblivious to Daphne's interest in him, but maybe he's just acting like he is, not so much that he doesn't like Daphne, but he doesn't want to ruin the friendship.

I heard episode 10 is not until late October/early November, I hope its not that long.
