Same voice, different characters?

Maurice Lamarche uses the same kind of voice for both The Brain (on Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain and Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain) and Benedict Uno, a/k/a Father on Codename: Kids Next Door.

And Simion, A "Dial M for Monkey" villain, on Dexter's Lab. The fact that Dexters Lab and KND are both CN shows, and he re-used the same voice for both, makes me wonder if this is more than just a coincidence?

In Zoboomafoo, Green Puppy uses the voice of Planet Pup from The Noddy Shop, who was also voiced by James Rankin.

Some one-shot/one-line Simpsons characters sound similar to recurring characters- no surprise, since the show for the longest time had a small stable of voice actors to save money.
