Revolution Will Be Shown Before E3

That's too long. :( But that's not remotely surprising as that's Nintendo's formula for releasing games and systems. Take a look at N64, Gamecube, and even last year, the DS. All get revealed at E3 months before the system's launch maybe with small tid bits building up to it. I hope it's worth this extremely loong wait.

I've heard all the comments about the Revolution good and bad but I'm looking forward to this. Especially if there are gonna be details for the new Smash Bros
Smash Bros? I'm looking forward to those first- & third- person shooters that'll take full advantage of the controller! Precision aiming, dude!

Anyway, good news. Let's start the countdown!

All hail for THE KING has returned!

It won't be leaving the building if I have anything to do with it...

I know it's unlikely, but I'd love one of the titles for the system to be an "Avatar: The Last Airbender" RPG. Seriously, that show feels like it's BASED off of one.

If not that, then at least give me Pilotwings, or even better, BLAST CORPS! (assuming Rare doens't own that one)

The press conference is right before E3 (like a day or so), so the title is a tad misleading...but I don't care, me wanty new games! I haven't played a new game since RE4 because I'm so utterly poor...

I'd like Nintendo to make me a entirely new RPG series please.

Entirely new...as in no re-using or reimaging other franchises...

Also I want Lucas Arts to port the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade over to the Revolution...you can actually replicate the arcade experiance now with that controller, because it would work well for the light saber part.

They actually made one that can be played on the Nick.com website. I played it. Kills an afternoon, I guess.

I agree that it seems based off of an RPG, I mean you got the "all-rounder" (literally), the "fighter", the "healer"...all you need is the "mage" and you're pretty much set to go. If they DO make one, it would probably be based on peripheral characters, if they made the Nick.com RPG as a test. That I wouldn't mind at all. The mind boggles at the possibilities...

You know what...I've read a minor increase in the number of 'I'm too poor to buy games' messages. It makes me wonder...considering the warning lights going on in the economy, one wonders if it's really entirely sensible to release these consoles NOW...'course, back in the '30s, everyone rushed to the cinemas to escape the drudgery, and nothing does escape better than games.

Nope, still certain! Nintendo's gonna kick ass. And maybe even take names...if it has the time, obviously.

Wow, a whole friggin' day before E3. Any earlier and they'd just be flat-out spoiling us. :p

Still cool, though. I'm anxious to see what this baby is capable of. I just hope they'll still let some news leak out before then.

I would actually prefer to see a Golden Sun RPG on the Revolution before they rush into a new series. It's been begging for a console release for a long time, and it'd be a HUGE launch game...there are a LOT of RPG fans out there who'd like to see that.

I'm a college student with a low-paying part time job living at home, and my PS2 broke down and vanished. My GCN is all I've got, and I'm spending all my cash on gas, insurance, and X-mas gifts for the family. I don't think I'm indicative of any overall economic trend except the timeless one of college students being poor.

It's funny. I don't know much about the revolution besides that I'm definitely buying one. The virtual console idea is my favorite thing ever, though.

However, if it does end up launching at like 200.00, it would be amazing. I'd camp out for one. 250 with Super Smash Brothers would be incredible as well.

Meh, just thinking aloud. I'm a college student with a low-paying part-time job too. :p I just noticed there were a few more posts along the same lines recently...

i didn't expect it before E3 so this is only good news, if they are doing this i know they must have a big secret for E3 then, Nintendo loves stealing the show at E3 and almost always does it.
