Regular Show: The Lost Tapes

The first big drop of 2026, a lot riding on these unseen adventures

Let's hope it joins Iyanu on Saturday mornings
And the latter show hasn't even remotely made it to anything in Europe beyond the British Isles. In fact, I'm not even expecting international Cartoon Network to pick that up because they already have their own unique female-led acquisitions like Lana Longbeard and the upcoming Goat Girl.

Edit: Iyanu is now on KidZone Max in Baltic countries.

Oh god, I hope we're not revisiting that whole threesome between Margaret, CJ and Mordecai. I wonder if CN will look to do another Spinoff for the show perhaps revolved on Nicholai.

03/14:
Wonder Con panel on March 27.
Creator and executive producer J. G. Quintel, executive producer Sean Szeles, and others celebrate the characters, moments, and catchphrases that turned Regular Show into an award-winning cultural phenomenon. The panel features good vibes, behind-the-scenes stories, and a conversation that will be anything but regular. The session includes audience Q&A and may also offer a glimpse into the new series coming soon.

03/19:
Apparently premieres on May 11 but there will be a preview on YouTube on March 23.

So I suppose it is a Cartoon Network show then. I mean that’s fine ig. Certainly will be more nostalgic that way. I’ll tune into the episodes live as long as it isn’t the crack of dawn

This also means the show will NOT be going past the light TV-PG of the original. Although I was rooting for Lost Tapes to age up with its audience a bit like other shows have in their revivals, I’m perfectly fine with this as well. There is a charm to the realm the original show stood in for sure.

Couple of things, May 11th is a Monday which CN has stopped putting premieres

and that date is for the United Kingdom

What does this mean for US then, Saturday May 16th if we're lucky?

I think the US might be later, whether it could be September/October or match with Canadian premiere of The Lost Tapes (Which will air on AS, according to their hightlights), unlike The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, where internationally, it’s being aired on October 6th in most markets (some on different date, like in South Korea).

Considering Adult Swim isn't in the UK, it could be a case where it'd be on Cartoon Network on some countries and Adult Swim in others.

I would guess Saturday, May 9th? I think CN worldwide wants to have a global premiere pretty much at the same day or very close to it. US usually gets stuff first so let them have it first.

We Baby Bears is potentially having new episodes in April because they don't really have anything else for 9:30a as couple shows aired their season finales The next WBB arc would end on May 2nd so I think RS airing May 9th is very much happening. Iyanu is there while TTG and Totally Spies had their season finales. I just don't see anything else airing because they don't have any other shows.

If it's a Monday premiere, it's going to be in the mid-afternoon

If CN PT was still its own feed it would premiere on Saturday morning

Baby Bears sadly isn't new Easter weekend, if it was it could finish a new arc in 5 weeks

So that's why my estimation has to be May 16th

All assumptions are possible. Let’s wait for the official dates of the premiere in the US. Guess they won’t air the first episodes on May for the US, because one member said the channel stop premieres in May. So, maybe they’d go for September, in order to celebrate 16 years of Regular Show debut.

Also, it’s not impossible for the US to air it on May, if they want to air in all countries and market. We’ll wait for the March 27th panel that will be held in Anaheim, California.

I forgot to check Easter weekend but they usually have new stuff at 9:30a so okay, it might be May 6th.

RandomMe, CN US will not have weekday premieres. They wouldn't put Regular Show at 4p. Saturday at 9:30a is much better.

Adult Swim will be back in the UK on 26th March via HBO Max, but with no broadcast airtime. The original Regular Show series was already edited/censored here (as CN is designated as a kids channel), and I guess it might be the case again.

So are these new episodes designed such that viewers on streaming services like HBO Max (excl. USA, Greece and Cyprus) can randomly splice several of them into a viewing of the original series seamlessly, provided the viewers know exactly when the episodes are supposed to take place?

Because I think this show looks like a midquel of sorts consisting of newly produced classic-style episodes chronologically taking place somewhere between seasons 1 and 4(?) to me.

The upcoming Adventure Time: Side Quests also looks to be that same kind of retro midquel series to me.

Baby Bears is reairing Atlantis all April, very boneheaded

But means Regular Show can have anywhere in May it likes, maybe May 2nd

That or wasting April means they kick RS to June

Or it won't air at all. I forgot they already passed on many shows by going to AS and streaming. Sadly, it's starting to be the case but let's wait calmly for May. If not then, I don't see it on CN at all. They don't have enough money to bid against Hulu.

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
