Naming a convention after himself is already pretty pathetic and another sign of his own ego, but those prices are insane. It sounds less like a convention and more like a seminar and he just used the term convention since it sounds more appealing by comparison. I don't know who would have that kind of money to spend on something like this, especially when you factor in how OAXIS unsurprisingly landed nowhere. He hasn't had the best reputation for quite some time, so I doubt that he's going to have a lot of people lining up for a convention even if it wasn't named after him.
