Why do people blame Butch Hartman for ruining his shows?

A while back, I made a post defending Butch Hartman's creative talents, by claiming how little control he had over the later seasons of the original FOP

re: Butch Hartman.

Trouble is, people blame him when it's obvious he's hardly to blame (Fairly Odder, which he had very little involvement in, is blatant evidence of this). Yes, he's done shifty things in real life, but his creative talents should not be lumped in with literal scams and plagiarism.

I said it in the other thread, and I'll say it here too.

The writing. The best episodes (at least in the case of FOP and Danny Phantom) were mainly Steve Marmel's and Bob Boyle's doing.

The quality of both shows decreased dramatically after both of them were no longer on staff.

TUFF Puppy had eye candy (Kitty Katswell) and not much else going for it. The less said about Bunsen is a Beast, the better.

So yeah, I think he's a terrible writer and needs someone working with him at all times.
