This Lady Attacks the pope Two Times In a row The woman was identified as Susanna Maiolo. I really think this girl has some serious issues.

They Beefed up security But i think that wont stop her.

My family saw this on the news on Christmas Eve. It was so shocking to see this woman just jump right out and tackled the pope. At least he wasn't injured/ I was also surprised that all of the security was ahead of him, instead of being around him.

Does anyone know why she attacked the pope?
She's determined to say the least.
But getting tackled out of nowhere can't be good for an elderly man.

Didn't the same woman try to get to his last year? I thought security would have been better, as she was able to tackle him to the ground. Imagine if the president of a country was attacked like that. Now wouldn't that person be killed? What is the punishment?

LIFE in jail

I'm glad that his holiness is alright. Although, I had hope that the Swiss Guard was a little more prepared to deal with anything.

You would think when she tried it last year, security would be up, but then this year she lunges out at him, and gets him down. While I don't see the pope as any high power due to my Jewish faith, I know others do, and i feel for them that their holy leader wasn't protected when it was obvious the women would try it again. Don't get me started on the pope's past, that is the past, so I don't worry about it, but I can understand if that was the women's motives.

The pope will probably never be protected well because he has nothing to do with the government nor an political figure

Well, he is a head of state. Although the Pope wasn't seriously injured, a nearby 87-year-old Cardinal broke his hip and had to have some immediate surgery. Susanna Maiolo apparently has a history of mental problems, so it's doubtful the Vatican will prosecute her.

When the Pope visited my campus last year, security was pretty tight. We had to be kept at a certain distance, the Secret Service was all over the place, etc. Overall it was much more security-minded than when JPII visited a few decades ago, as I understand it. It's a shame that in this day and age taking part in public gatherings increasingly necessitates stricter security.

Except for the fact he's the head of an organization that has hundred of millions of followers.

Plus, its the Swiss Guard. They were the biggest, baddest mercs , so good at their job that treaties were made prohibiting Switzerland from exporting mercs, save for the Papal Guard. To this day, it is still illegal for Switzerland to export mercs.

The lesson? Don't mess with Switzerland, or its guards.

This person should be in the "Nut house" by now. So I think everything will be okay. And besides, the Pope is alright.

This person probably has some serious mental issues. I hope that she can get the help she needs. I'm glad the Pope wasn't seriously harmed.

Saying this is like calling President Obama is just another American citizen.

I know Obama is responsible for a 1st world nation. But what does the pope actually do?

Oh, the temporal head of a worldwide religious body numbering in the hundred millions (Including those in America, China, Russia, India etc. etc.) , as well as the longest existing organization in the West.

I still don't understand what he does. What are his responsibilities and what qualifications does he have for doing whatever it is he does?

Just I said, the Pope is the Earthy head of the Catholic Church. Here's a more detailed article on the position:

I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
