Old International Fox Kids/Jetix Channels Memorial Thread

That explains why its shows never aired on Disney Kids on SIC.

Except Marvo the Wonder Chicken, its shorts aired there. DC PT never aired Jetix content.
Those shorts aired on CN LA fsr

Even though it was commisioned for Jetix Europe. Makes me think it wasn't a Jetix Europe original
I always assumed it was a reminant of what could of a DC Thomson cartoon for Jetix

Actual Jetix Europe originals aired on networks that WEREN'T Jetix even in the US- Nicktoons aired Shuriken School, and Cartoon Network aired Team Galaxy. Latin America had Jetix original Jimmy Two-Shoes air on... Nickelodeon.

This is because the Jetix Europe company, and Jetix's distribution rights to those shows, were only a thing in Europe. They didn't apply to North America. This is also why you never saw, say, Sonic X on Jetix over here.

JTS only aired on SIC. You had to wake up too early to watch it.

Over here it was a mainstay during the night hours until around 2015. I have fond memories of it

Definitely, the rules also applied overseas, Total Drama on Jetix in the UK despite airing on CN worldwide, etc, etc

Besides, with virtually no Jetix Europe shows apart from two exceptions airing on DC PT, these shows did not air on cable at all

It also aired on the Dutch feed as well (before later airing on Cartoon Network Netherlands). Here, Disney XD only aired up to Action. Fortunately, the rest of the series was on Netflix and the later seasons are on BBC iPlayer.

Jimmy Two-Shoes also aired on Cartoon Network in Asia and Australia, as well as Team Galaxy on Nickelodeon Asia.

I wonder if 6teen aired on jetix since that network aired total drama island

It never aired on any Jetix feed. However, it did air on Nickelodeon for a while in the United States, as well as France.

Also, both shows have two different international distributors: "Total Drama" is distributed by Cake, while "6teen" is by Nelvana.

Another interesting thing is that while Cake already licensed Benelux broadcast rights of "Total Drama" to Jetix by May 2008 (Total Drama Island Pushing The Boat Out In 2008), the channel didn't expand their rights to the UK until November 2008: Jetix Acquires Total Drama Island For U.K. Channel

That happneed after Cartoon Network acquired the license to the show in parts of EMEA in around June 2008: Establishing a secure connection ...

With that said, Decode Entertainment (now known as WildBrain) had also co-produced another Studio B show called What About Mimi?
This DECODE was known as DECODE Enterprises and served as the distribution wings for DHX up until late 2010 in which all DHX brands were renamed to the simple DHX.

Yet still, if DC PT had to carry Jimmy Two-Shoes, it would negotiate with Breakthrough, but the Jetix Europe obstacle (or rather post-obstacle) complicated things and the show only aired on SIC.

Yeah weirdly enough Disney was very anti-social with what shows could of aired on DC PT, Jetix UK had a few DHX shows (notably Urban Vermin, which did not last.)

I mean, they justified the lack of Disney XD in 2014 as "there's no market for that". Panda Biggs and SIC K were male-driven, girl-inclusive channels (Disney XD wanted to balance the targets a little though) but I think those were the obstacles that blocked a DXD launch here.

I mean, even Kick Buttowski had a PT-EU dub, but it was never released to the public (and not even to SIC)

I assume that Camp Lakebottom didn’t even air on Disney Channel in Portugal and instead aired on Biggs and RTP2 there.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
