Does this look like the face of mercy?
BTW, did anyone think Wave Race when Reggie was playing the jet ski game?
Yeah I kind of did. It was hillarious to see that. Makes me wonder if they have a Wave Race for the Wii in development?

I'm afraid I still don't understand what this accessory does. I though the Wii Remote's detections were pretty accurate already; does this just enhance that or does it do anything special?
Basically, the way I understand it is this: the Wiimote can currently detect motion relative to itself, OR it can detect where you're pointing the remote's sensor. But it cannot combine those two ideas. In Wii Sports, for example, it doesn't know where you're standing relative to the screen AND how you're swinging the bat -- just how you're swinging the bat. Thus, when you're playing the Tennis minigame, you can move side-to-side all you like, but it doesn't matter; it's all about the swing. This also means that as long as you have the room, 4-player action isn't incredibly complicated; the system just sees 4 sets of swinging motions, it doesn't keep track of 4 positions. The Wiimote can only register broad things like "swing left", "swing up" and "stab", but not how you're swinging it. The new attachment fixes that. (making things like swordfighting and Tennis much more plausible than they were before)
I'm personally hoping for Elite Beat Agents Wii.This has potential to be a significant upgrade to the Wii, as long as developers know how to use it. I also predict a new Wii bundle that comes with this attachment and Wii Sports Resort.
From what I understand, the remote contains an accelerometer which detects which way you're moving the controller and how fast. The MotionPlus will have something else in it that can detect more acute changes in movement and orientation. At least, that's my understanding of the situation. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I just realized how sad that is.{[-(sdp)-]};2926988 said:so same e3 conference result as last year? microsoft wins by default because the other two shoot themselves in the foot?
Is terrible as this was, at least I didn't almost fall asleep like at the Sony one. Ugh.
Microsoft had the best conference, no question. And even that was fairly average.
Microsoft wins for Rock Band 2, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy 13, and actually showing a variety of different things. They might not have all been great, but at least they had something for everyone.Well you did better than me since I feel asleep during Sony. Like I said before... Microsoft was the King this year. More game that I want, appealing to a new audience, and strong reaction around is what makes a good Press conference for me.
Is it possible (at all) that things are being scaled back this year before we're in such a serious recession? Could that have anything to do with this? I mean, look how bad things are in the DVD front, and I think our horrible economy has a lot to do with it. Maybe they're holding off big titles until things pick back up, whenever that is.
