New Openings?

Everyone should know that both Tenchi and 0083 have new openings about halfway through the run so does anyone know if they will air tomorrow?

Hopefully! One of the main things I am looking forward to when watching Adult Swim tommorrow night is the "I'm a Pioneer" opening for Tenchi Muyo!. I think the English version is especially done well. If anyone has the American Tenchi Muyo album it is the first track. It will be interesting to see the new Gundam 0083 opening, if they play it. I have especially liked most all the music in this series so far, especially the opening and closing.​

I wouldnt get your hopes too high for the new opening for Tenchi Muyo. I know that during Tenchi Universe's run there were 3 endings, one with Ryoko, Washu VS Ayeka And Sasmi playing volley ball, (this ending sung by japanese ryoko voice actor) another ending with Ayeka floating in space sung by the japanese Ayeka voice actor, and finally one with Ryo-ohki. It seems the only ending Toonami ran was the one with Ryo-ohki and never the other two even when a specific episode had the Ayeka/Ryoko ending. So it would seem more likely for the standard Tenchi Muyo opener to run rather than the "I'm A Pioneer" version.

I've never heard the "I'm a pioneer" song, but i do remember an english song playing during the end credits during some Tenchi episodes. I'm guessing it's "I'm a pioneer". Either way i'm sure that they will be playing the new openings whenever there supposed to switch them for a show.
I think the people running the show there are doing a pretty good job, so i'm fairly confident that they will air it.

While Toonami did not play any of the endings for Tenchi Universe except for the cabbit fishing one, they did play both of the endings for Outlaw Star. Then again, they didn't play either of the original endings for Big O so who knows.

As for the song that played at the end of a couple of the Tenchi Muyo! episodes, that was "Talent for Love". It is the ending theme for the first 7 episodes of Tenchi Muyo! The ending currently played for Tenchi Muyo! is a repeat of the opening for episodes 1-5 and 7. The original ending as different animation as well with the cabbit (I don't feel awake enough to try and spell its name yet this morning) trying to grow a carrot.​

You know i really wish the wouldnt speed up the credits on 0083 like they have been and they'll probably do it again and it will suck because i liked Magic(First closing song) and Evergreen(Second closing song)

The opening for Big O reminds me of something from Hitchcock actually.

Only orginal intro for Tenchi I've seen was the OAV one. "Love Will Leave You Crying" from Universe is a good song though really.

Eh, to be honest my favorite Tenchi opening is the Tenchi in Tokyo one. It is the only onre that fits the sheer zaniness of the series.

The Winner still played on 0083 and the first OVA opening went on has well!! Are they just gonna stick with one opening for the rest of the runs!?!?!

The opening for Big O reminds me of something from Hitchcock actually.

Umm.... no offense, but have you ever actually SEEN Hitchcock? I think the Big O's opening, if anything, is a blantant rip-off of Queen's Flash Gordon song. Could I get some confirmation from anyone else here on this?

You've got some else to confirm it. I said the exact same thing the other day while watching vol #1 of Big O on DVD.

"Men of Destiny" plays next week, since it's the second half of the 13 episode arc.

The Big O's japanese opening is nuts, but it does have a nice song though.

Tenchi Universe's opening is the best one out of the whole series, followed by Tenchi in Tokyo's, Tenchi Muyo OVA 2's, and Tenchi Muyo OVA 1's.

And yes, it does suck that they didn't play neither of the new openings for the show tonight.
