Caught up to episode 14.

Usually I'm not a big fan of cartoons with a an emphasis on plot, but it is really refreshing to watch a show that actually tells a story throughout the episodes and not just at the beginning and end of the season. Episode 12, 13 and 14 were all great, with a lot of great stuff happening. My highlight was the troll lady double-crossing Tazma. Necrafa is a good villain, especially with her scary head-turn thing, and I hope she will live up to her reputation. I had my doubts about this show in the beginning, but it has steadily become better, and I consider it one of the best Girl Super Hero-shows I have ever seen - especially after watching Miraculous, which pretty much does everything wrong what Mysticons does right.

As for the thing with the girls-kiss, from what I've seen I'm not convinced it's Kitty-Zarya. There are hints, but just because they called each other sunshine and pretty(very indirectly) does not mean they'll eventually become a couple. Though I admit, it is the most likely scenario: Arcana's love interest is obviously Malvaron, Em has the brother of Kitty, and the relationship between Piper and Zarya is too sisterly. So yeah, if no other female characters gets close to one of the main characters (like that Astromancer girl), it'll probably be Kitty-Zarya.

So the Astromanters attempt to make the Mysticons enemies of the state, just like everything they do, ends in measurable failure. Now to stay on the public good graces, I think they have to make nice now.

Caught up to episode 19.

I didn’t really like episode 17 despite Em being one of my favorite characters. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it felt a little lackluster, especially how they were afraid the rage spell would spread to Necrafa. Also it didn’t feel like it was giving Em the amount of character development they were aiming for. On the plus side, there were a lot of hilarious scenes (“I have a hard time picking up signals!”).

In episode 18, the show continues its weird mixture of being both childish and serious with a parrot pirate forcing children to work as slaves for him. Kaos wasn’t what I expected, but even with his squawking he sure makes a good villain. When we see him again (which will definitely happen) I hope he’ll have some demon/undead redesign similar to Dreadbane.

Speaking of Dreadbane, “Through the enemy’s eyes” was a great episode. Putting aside it felt a bit forced how Dreadbane got his memories back, I like how we got to see the “nice” side of him. When not being an evil general, he is just a big softie and gentleman who likes to plant flowers. Also interesting how Tazma, after being faced with all her insecurities and failures escapes her inner struggle by swearing blind loyalty to Necrafa.

These episodes made me curious for more. What is this prophecy? Can they save Arcanya’s parents now that they got the codex back? Or is it useless since Necrafa absorbed its magic power? I also wonder if we’ll find out the story of that dark obelisk on the island, or if it’s just some random dark magic thing that will never be fully explained.

I didn't say it was moving to Nick Jr., I only said it was making its network premiere.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, they must be totally sexist towards female shows, preferably animated. It's kind of ironic the president of Nickelodeon is a female, but yet shows like this don't last very long on the main channel.

I don't understand how you can post all of the ratings data you do and conclude that Nickelodeon is sexist because they're dumping low rated shows that star girls.

I am mostly referring to their animated acquisitions if they star a female lead, if it was Live action, they would 9 times out of 10 would play the entire season/Series on the main Nick channel, no questions asked, and you wonder why shows like this or Kuu Kuu Kuu Harajuku or Regal Academy didn't last long on Nick because of mediocre ratings, and they have themselves to blame.

Most of their live action shows do significantly better than what Mysticons was pulling. I'm pretty sure they dumped Max & Shred and a few of the other low performers onto their sister channels.

You're not wrong that Nick doesn't treat acqusitions very well, but that's far from specific to girl starring shows. Digimon Fusion got one of the fastest Nicktoons sentences ever. Only Alvin has managed to get a decent footing as a third party series on Nick and even then you see limited promotion. The idea that they're sexist because they're dropping girl led slows is pretty flawed when Nick does that to everything and those shows are objectively pulling weak numbers. Frankly, 20 episodes on the main channel was more than I was expecting. I figured Mysticons would've been a Nicktoons premiere well before 2017 was over.

Are the ratings of Mysticon really that bad? I know they only rarely break the million, but Disney Channel cartoons like Milo Murphy's Law don't either, yet they are considered successes.

As posted on ratings thread, it's new rating suffered 0.5 total viewers due to move Sunday's 8:30am slot which is death morning slot and had weak leadin power rangers ninja steel

How is that considered good ratings? 0.5 is definitely not good ratings. The only series low was last Sunday: 0.507 total viewers. I may have a bad feeling that this Sunday's could possibly be lower. It shouldn't matter anymore, because next month it be shipped to Nicktoons for some burnoff

I never said it got good ratings. I am just irrelevant of ratings, the show is getting really good.

And I am interested in the Arkayna / Zariya twin thing.

For Mysticons episode 20 "The Prophecy Unleashed" was that season finale and when will the new season start for the show.
