Gambit #12 - This was a good issue with some nice action and interplay between Rogue and Joelle. But man, I just didn't see that ending coming. Shocking and sad. I felt bad for Gambit after everything he's been through. (Oh, and that poor rabbit.)

The Shadow #13 - If this issue is any indication, this could be my favorite arc yet, especially if it maintains what appears to be a supernatural element. Some of the art seemed off at times, though, with weird-looking faces and bodies that were a little blocky. And I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I liked how in the Cobalt Club scene Margo Lane's outfit seemed to resemble Penelope Ann Miller's from the Shadow film. One panel in particular looked like a direct homage to a specific shot of her from the movie.

I read:

Chaos War: X-Men #2 - Thunderbird and the other dead X-Men take on the Chaos King's Carrion Crow and his crow demons.

I've always liked Thunderbird and consider it a shame that he's never been revived, so I enjoyed this issue. It wasn't a bad comic even though it was just a side mini-series for a "big comic event".

Young Avengers #2 - Last issue, Wiccan cast a spell to revive Hulkling dead mother. Unfortunately, there's been some unintended consequences. Adults have turned on the YA. Or have they been replaced? We have no idea so far, but kid Loki is here to help.

I'd heard a lot of praise for this series which encouraged me to pick it up. Two issues in and I'm not regretting it.
