Especially given Adult Swim Junior...Looks very creative, but could do without the eye-gouging and the general mean-spirited attitude towards pre-school entertainment.
I am.I wonder if people will ever get tired of these Lego Movie/Ready Player One multiverse crossover things.
Yeah, I didn't like it either.I decided to check this out because of the hype and I didn't like it. I thought it seemed too much like creepypastas (which I never really liked) for my tastes.
This looks like it's aiming for a more serious meta-narrative influenced by creepypastas and multimedia crossovers. In other words, Who Framed Roger Rabbit for Gen Zers.I'm not sure whether to call this good or not. It feels like something Robot Chicken would do.
THANK YOU. I'm legit sick of adults who should be old enough to know better taking potshots at preschool shows/blocks (they're made for little kids, just don't watch 'em, for crying out loud!), and I'm a longtime opponent of retro-snobbery (the belief held by many that the era of a particular network that they grew up with was "da best eva" and every era after that is automatically trash and therefore no network should ever try to move forward or try to accommodate any audience other than them).Honestly, aside from the whole "creepypasta" vibe this emits, and the fact that this is kinda mean-spirited towards preschool entertainment (given Cartoonito and all), this just feels like it panders towards Cartoon Network's "fans" who want all the new shows removed and replaced with the old shows. I mean, what kid in 2021 is gonna know what most of these shows are? The only modern shows I've seen were The Amazing World of Gumball and Craig of the Creek. People should just accept the fact that Cartoon Network is done airing these shows and move on.
To be fair, Gumball came out in 2011, so it's technically an old show, but I do agree with you.The only modern shows I've seen were The Amazing World of Gumball and Craig of the Creek.
I'm pretty sure that kids nowadays would still recognize Adventure Time and Steven Universe characters. They also had PPG and Scooby Doo characters. If it was just old school shows like Flinstones and the Jetsons, I think that you'd have a stronger point there, but I'm pretty sure most of the characters shown would still be recognizable to a lot of kids familiar with Cartoon Network shows.Honestly, aside from the whole "creepypasta" vibe this emits, and the fact that this is kinda mean-spirited towards preschool entertainment (given Cartoonito and all), this just feels like it panders towards Cartoon Network's "fans" who want all the new shows removed and replaced with the old shows. Flintstones and Jetsons are also on HBO Max and MeTV, so yeah I think I was kinda exaggerating a bit.If it was just old school shows like Flinstones and the Jetsons, I think that you'd have a stronger point there, but I'm pretty sure most of the characters shown would still be recognizable to a lot of kids familiar with Cartoon Network shows.
