Interesting title. This just occurred to me: What if this is an adaption of the 'Trinity War' event? It's about to start soon and end August, and this DTV will probably hit in September or October.

Yes, I realize that right after setting up Flashpoint, they go right into the New 52 with the first major crossover event without going with the other smaller storylines, like Court of Owls, or H'el on Earth (that's a Batman or a Superman story that focuses on other characters from the Bat/Super-family). But I think this would be an interesting event to adapt.

Adapting a storyline that hasn't even started yet in the comics seems extremely unlikely to me, and I don't remember DC and WB ever having that type of coordination to pull off something like that. Plus didn't James Tucker say that they'll be moving away from adaptions now that he's in charge?

Anyway, I'm intrigued that we'll be getting two Justice League features in a row, which works for me since the League is pretty awesome. I'm just hoping they'll shake up the lineup a bit.

Hmmm. JT (the new substitute for b.t. I guess) has already said the Justice League movies will be an avenue for spotlights on characters other than the big two. So maybe the subtitle is a hint for the spotlight character. And I know JT really likes Wonder Woman -- you know, that character from an island of warrior women, whose major enemy is the god of war, and who is like as not to bring a big honking axe to the party.

Please be Wonder Woman. Please be Wonder Woman. Please be Wonder Woman...

I know that some people are going to be upset, since we'll be getting two Justice League films in one year, but....I can't say that I'm not looking forward to it. More Justice League is a good thing, IMO.

Am I delusional to hope for a loose adaptation of Sinestro Corps War?

I don't see anyone getting upset.

the more superheroes in one movie the better.

every DC animated features from now on should be JL or team ups unless its an origin story of The Flash and Superman

anyways this story is probably an adaptation of Porter's JLA World War 3

Is this going to be the last BT supervised film, or the first JT one?

I'd imagine they really could capitalize on the success of Green Arrow tv series. I think the Lantern is kinda like Kryptonite to WB right now. Best to focus on other heroes. I think the best solution for a Wonder Woman may be Trinity, even if loosely adapted cause Bats and Supes are there.

It's not unheard given that DCD got onboard with blackest night early enough to make toys as the comics were published.

This one will actually be the third JT supervised film. First JT one was Superman Unbound, which would make the Dark Knight Returns films the last b.t. supervised ones.

This sounds like a Trinity adaption. That or maybe a Our Worlds at War adaption. Whatever the case, I just hope it doesn't suck as much as Unbound did, to say nothing of having good animation, too.

If I were going to venture a guess, I'd go with the Alex Ross-Jim Krueger 'Justice', which was a pretty epic full-on war beween the Justice League and the Legion of Doom. Love that miniseries.

I think this is the start of them doing more original storylines and less direct adaptations.

I hope they start coming up with more exciting titles than "[hero/heroes' name]: [one word]" in the future.

Just to emphasize, a representative for Warner Home Video (as stated in the article), said Justice League: War is a tentative title and could possibly change.

Hopefully this December.

Since Flashpoint Paradox comes out mid summer.

Thanks. I figured since Unbound was essentially an adaptation of Superman Brainac, it was Tim's film. Since the announcement of Tucker no longer involves adaptations, guess not.

Will this be released this year?
Bobby, Bobby, c'mon! Read the first post more carefully. "Late 2013/Early 2014. (not yet set)"

I hope it's not Our Worlds at War. I'm not the biggest man of Loeb.

Yeah, if they cut out the bit with Mageddon, otherwise it's sort of a retread of the Centre in The New Frontier, being the ancient force manipulating others and popping up at the end.

Making it a JL movie would be to loose for me. The League barely even factors into the original story and if they're gonna adapt that epic I hope they'll focus on the actual GLC and Sinestro Corps members instead of shoehorning the League into the story.

Yeah but making toys is easier to coordinate than making movies based off a storyline that isn't even out yet. Plus that's seems extra risky on WB's part since they have no idea what the reaction will even be to this event.

I hope not. We just got a Justice League vs Legion of Doom story last year.
