Johnny Test cancelled?

Well we all probably spoke too soon, because Johnny Test is coming to Boomerang starting September 7th at 5PM. So apparently we're still not done with this mess yet. The new episodes may be gone, but the reruns will still be around. Ugh...

Johnny Test!? Blech!

...And this is one more reason I'm not going anywhere near Boomerang. Stuff like that is not nostalgic nor classic. At all. Nor does it deserve to be.

Yeah seriously, I remember back when Boomerang, even when Cartoon Network wasn't showing as much of the classic old school cartoons anymore, at least had a reason to more exist. Sadly now it's just repeats of stuff that used to be popular on Cartoon Network within the last few years. I'd respect it more if it was a showcase of even the more obscure CN toons or acquistions but yeah... Johnny Test, really? Just ugh on that.

I guess at least that not only means JT is done though if it's just getting Boomerang rerunifcation, but that it's not coming back to the main network which is at least something right?

It was inevitable I suppose. JT put so many butts into seats during its' tenure on CN that I guess The Powers That Be wanted to keep re-running the series somewhere even though it's done making first-run episodes.

I wouldn't mind that so much if Da Boom were still airing the older CN/Turner vault classics and acquisitions alongside the newer leftovers, which they sadly aren't. If Boomerang can find room for Johnny Test of all shows, then surely they can run some of the many, many older toon series that they're presently keeping locked away in the vaults as well. I understand they want to attract a more contemporary viewership, but that doesn't mean they have exclude the older classics which aren't airing anywhere else currently. I don't see the 2 as mutually exclusive.

On the up side, these are just reruns, and the fact that Johnny Test is moving to Boomerang is definitive proof that the series is over.

How do you all think Johnny Test would have done if it aired on Disney Channel or Nick?

CN would of been so different, and both of those channels would of probably stopped airing after 2009.

Nick would've never given it a chance an ended it in mid Season 2 leaving a bunch of episodes unaired. Disney would air the show's episodes really slowly, but end after Season 3.

Where I live Nickelodeon and NickToons have been airing Johnny Test for years (all 6 seasons) and then suddenly in 2012 our Cartoon Network started aring it too, but only the last two seasons.
So now it is airing on both NickToons and Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon stopped airing it once the sixth season was over.

where i live it's on boing. thank god.

No new episodes have popped up since last year, and any episodes that have yet to air will likely be burned off on Boomerang, since they're the ones airing the show now.

It's kind of sad, the first season was (in my opinion) very watchable and actually entertaining at points. They even pushed the limits a bit with stuff like Dukey saying "sucks". That being said, it went downhill VERY fast after the second season kicked in. How it lasted as long as it did, I'll never know.

I guess it makes sense for Boomerang to rerun it, there was very clearly an audience for it, so who knows. Just don't turn it into Boomerang's TTG. :P

*Sigh* I can already see that happening, since they seem to hate playing actually good cartoons people want to see on that channel, unfortunately.

I know this is old news already, but considering James Arnold Taylor (Johnny's voice actor) said there are no plans for season 7, and the fact it's on Boomerang with Scott Fellows' new show taking precedence on the main Cartoon Network, Johnny Test is officially done.

So is it safe to close this thread now that Johnny Test is officially done?

I think so. Otherwise, the same comments will just keep coming and there's really not much left to discuss about this topic anyway. I'll go ahead and close this thread.

Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
