Never underestimate yourself. I know several people who said they couldn't write, and have written some frankly amazing stuff. The number one trick is to listen to people when they are giving you advice. The number two trick is to read everything you get your hands on (not just fanfics - all books).

Yeah, me and Tenku know each other already, in a purely virtual sense...if you see what I mean.

is it just me, or do new members seem to come in waves? there was a wave ack in october/november when I joined, one in january, and one fight around now.

I noticed that too. If we get another new batch of members in about July/August time, then we'll know that it's true....

Yes it does seem that memebers come in waves, but if you pay attention to bord satistics you'll see that no one's name is on the 'newest member' thing very long.
