Okay, this week, we're keeping up with the Batman theme with the initial sketch for this DKA poster:

Very nice job, the final pic looks amazing, i really like how you put all of the group, my fav is Batman and Batgirl, a fine job on Batgirl's anatomy.

Nice work on the Bat-team pic. Tim with the staff kinda makes me miss him using it in the comics and I see you also gave Nightwing a haircut. Batman and Batgirl also turened out pretty well. Good work on the pic.

Well, no sketch of Bats smiling (yet!), but this week I do have a further Batman related sketch--the Mad Hatter!

This is the sketch that the awesome Bic inked and coloured for this poster in DKA. He's made it soooo much better!

I love the way he so delicately holds that teacup. Hatter's most distinguishing facial feature is his freakishly triangular nose, and you've gotten not only the proper shape but the right proportion as well.

Beautiful Dredd. Not something you tend to say. Lots of detail.

Look at Dredd's jaw. Perfect. Gruff, masculine and even slightly scary - you wouldn't mess with a man with a jaw like that! Perfect.

I'm amazed at how well you capture the expressions despite the drastic differences in details in your piece - your Timm Mad Hatter picture doesn't quite have the detail of Dredd but the expression is still perfectly captured. You've even managed to make a picture of Batman smiling not look too weird!

This week we have my sketches for a proposed fan-comic based on the 13th incarnation of Doctor Who!

I've been wondering what kind of personality the Thirteenth Doctor would have. Theoretically, it should be his final incarnation, but the writers will probably find a way to extend his regenerative abilities.

I figured he would be a little edgier, a little darker. He knows he's incredibly old and now he can't do a single thing without thinking twice. The threats are worse and he can't fall back on regeneration anymore.

Your sketch has a lot of what I was thinking. The angles of the brows, nose and lips are quirky but stylish, and they have a crook about them that isn't indicative of the Doctor's usual approachability. Plus he's got a Moriarty/Mr. Hyde top hat.

I like it lots.
