Remember Flipnote Studio? It was a DSi application that allows you to create animations. It was a neat little app for anyone with little experience in animation. Of course compared to full animation programs on PC, Flipnote Studio stripped animation creation to basics. The limitations of Flipnote Studio included only about 3 different colors, up to 1000 frames and the sound recorded was compressed. Flipnote animations could also be shared on Flipnote Hatena which closed years ago and was one of the most popular programs on DSi, and led to some impressive little animations. The 3DS had an updated version of the app with additional features like more colors but did not have the same following that the DSi version did. Despite how limited it was, Flipnote Studio is a way better animation program than GoAnimate.
