Don't sweat it, guy. This is a fun spoiler-filled romp of a thread. At least you were honest enough to realize you probably couldn't cover every good twist. I couldn't either....Probably shouldn't have made this a poll.![]()
How the hell is Judgement Day not on here?
I would have liked it more if Luthor ended up not being the biggest contributor to project Cadmus but the Illuminati was with Vandal Savage and his secret orginasation being the final villains of that arc and Waller being a member and playing Luthor like a pawn. Hey I can dream.
My thoughts exactly. I always thought the time-traveling view of Savage was a terrific way to explore his most salient supernatural trait: immortality. And yes, Hereafter really does seem to put the Savage story to rest. In fact, if the JL really did do "whatever it takes" to stop Savage, as he specifically asked Supes to do, and we are to take his fadeout seriously, then he's already gone.IMO I thought Vandal Savage's story ended with Hereafter. Once you know, how he'll react to his success, what's the point of taking his evil intentions seriously.
I may be wrong but I thought Timm and co. thinking behind Vandal Savage since he's immortal, was to show a pattern with each of his appearances.
His 1st appearance was in the past (The Savage Time).
His 2nd appearance was in the present (Maid of Honor).
And his 3rd and final appearance was in the future (Hereafter).
So having him appear again would sort of go against that.
Well that's one point of it. I don't see how that relates to Brainthor v. Savage v. some other unnamed villain.Besides I thought the point of the cadmus arc was to prove that despite all the Justice Lords rumors and potential foreshadowing events, The Justice League are not The Justice Lords.
Sorry it's just from the moment the Question mentioned/hinted to the Illuminati in "Galatea" I expected them and their leader to be the masterminds behind Cadmus. That made more sense to me then Luthor.
