What's your favorite plot twist in the DCAU? It can involve any show within the DC animated universe. Feel free to cite other examples.

It's gotta be Dan Turpin's death.

Did Legacy Part 2 actually have a plot twist? It was a pretty straightforward "epic final battle" episode I thought.

Anyway, I'm surprised that neither MotP nor RotJ are on there. They both had good plot twists.

And as for "Over the Edge", I have to admit I would have preferred that plot twist to have NOT happened. It would have made a great finale for TNBA had it been real. Sure, Batgirl would be dead, and they'd have to come up with an way for Gordon to clear Wayne's name, but that could have been worked around.

I assume the plot twist referenced here is Darkseid's "victory" after Superman attempts to depose him, but the denizens of Apokolips instead continue to show their loyalty.

And here, is the fact that the main plot was just a dream really a twist? It was pretty obvious from the beginning that this was only a "what if" scenario. I think the real twist comes at the very end when Commissioner Gordon slyly lets his daughter know that he's already aware of her career as Batgirl

:D - From the selections you listed I chose over the edge. When I first saw it, its like...wtf??? You dare not leave your seat because you wanted to know what the hecks happning.

Other than that...it was the whole Cadmus Arc of JLU...it had more plot twist and turns than a dairy cone.

The last moments of JLU's "Panic in the Sky" were completely mind-blowing and freaky.

I voted for "Second Chance" because I think it's the best of the plot twists on the list, assuming we're talking about the revelation of Two-Face masterminding his own kidnapping (which technically isn't the ending). It was just perfect. "Over the Edge" came very close, but ultimately it was only a hint that Gordon knew Barbara's secret, not clarification. I can't be bothered to consider any plot twists that aren't on the list.

To elaborate,

The Freeze thing is the fact that he is a cold blooded criminal due to what happened to his wife.

The Harley thing is the fact that she was Joker's psychiatrist.

The Second Chance one is the fact that Two-Face masterminded his own kidnapping

The Over the Edge one is the fact that Gordon knows his daughter's Batgirl (Which I never got until it was explained in the commentary)

The Legacy one is the fact that the people of Apokolips still rever and help Darkseid.

What about the conclusion to Perchance to Dream?

I'm giving my vote to the ultra-freaky twist ending of "Panic In the Sky". I was utterly shocked the first time I saw it. The explanation of it in "Divided We Fall" was just as shocking, only because it was completely continuity-driven.

While not in the DCAU, the plot twist in The Batman episode "Strange New World" was also very unexpected, and made the episode make sense.

:D - TNBA's "Judgment Day" was another episode that had me going...Who is The Judge???

"Growing Pains" also blew my mind when I found out Clayface was the villain as well as the victim. Thats some kinda plot twist!

My favorite plot twists were in "The Late Mr. Kent", in which:
a) Superman's psychological need to be Clark Kent once in a while leads him into a situation from which he almost has to give up being Clark Kent forever. and...
b) the crooked cop figuring it all out....at the last possible second.

i think that he said some thing along the lines of

"I love you all of you"

I'm not sure but i think thats it
Thanks. But I meant the commentary where is was explicitely stated that Gordon knows about his daughter's secret identity, not the lines from the episode.

I always loved the twist in "Cold Comfort" when we discover that Mr. Freeze is nothing more than a head on mechanical spider legs. I thought that was genious, and it really took me by surprise the first time I saw the episode.

As far as the 'twist' in "Over the Edge", when Gordon makes that comment to Barbara, you know, that never clearly registered w/ me as him knowing her identity. And I still think its open to interpretation. I always took it more as Gordon telling Barbara that it was time for her to stop asking for his permission for things, and that he trusted her. I never saw it as him signaling to her that he knew her alter ego. I can see how people would take it that way, and if the creators say thats how they meant it, then I accept it (did they say that? Havent watched the commentary in a while), but its just not clear in the episode.

^I agree. It was never, ever obvious to me until the commentary that Gordon was supposed to have already known. I just figured he treated Babs as an adult by that time.

Whilst not my favorite, but one I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet.

Out of The Past: Ra's Al Ghul's voice coming out of his daughters body to reveal that Talia was sacrificed to save Ra's life.

How the hell is Judgement Day not on here?

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
