Family Guy "Model Misbehavior" - Talkback

This has been the weakest of the new episodes. The side-plot, with Stewie and Brian in the fake business, was much funnier than the Lois plot, if only because I've worked in an office and can relate to Stewie's comments. The compliment sandwich was great, as was the "dangerously close to b*tch" coffee mug joke.

And the Peter: "I'll jerk off to your picture" Chris: "Me too! Meg: "Me too!" Peter: "Get out" joke was funny and got a callback later in the episode.

But again, lots of missed opportunities and laziness. The Greased Up Deaf Guy was lame (he was only funny in "The Thin White Line"), the evil monkey is getting WAY too predictable, the Peter ecstacy thing went on WAY too long and wasn't funny at all, the four tenors was an odd idea but never made me laugh, and even things that should be funny weren't, such as Cookie Monster addicted to cookie dough. I suppose because we've seen this kind of joke on Family Guy before so it didn't surprise me.

I never thought I'd do this to a Family Guy episode, and I almost hate to, because it makes me look like a whining internet nerd, but... last night's episode gets a GRADE: C

The plot of this episode was fundamentally flawed as it ended with Peter accepting Lois' desire to model, but Lois' real problem was never dealt with, the fact that she was abusing diet pills. But, who watches Family Guy for plot anyway?

Decent. My favorite gag was "Mmm-hmmm!"
Mine as well. And this ends the season? I guess this means Fox WON'T be running the Stewie movie as a three-parter, despite the fact that it was listed in three episodes when that 4th season list came out. Suppose they DID carve the movie up already....would those ever really see the light of day? Maybe on Adult Swim....

And why does the clock on the first post say 9 pm???? For me TZ was down the entire Sunday, even through midnight.

Well at least there is Adult Swim.:)

Good point. The diet pills were never brought up again after she took them in the Drunken Clam's bathroom. The only other reference to them was Lois' skinny chest. This needed to be cleared up towards the end saying it was wrong for her to take them while modeling.

Also wasnted to mention when the Cookie Monster is eating the cookies in his room, they just used the actual sound clip of the cookie monster instead of having Seth make up the noise. You can tell by how scratchy the sound quality gets.

Did anyone else notice the Newspaper joke?

Also the Cookie Monster stuff could've been done a little better IMHO. I mean yes it was funny but I kinda didn't believe it was Cookie Monster. The part before they sedate him and such just kinda ruined the joke. Though I have to admit the part of him trying to freebase the tube of cookie dough was humorous

While I'm on Sesame Street for the time being: DEATH TO ELMO! Tickilish red freak ruined the one good childrens TV program left in the world.

The "Nguyen" thing with brian I found kinda funny, mostly cause I know like 3 people with that last name and I can't freakin pronounce it for the life of me.

Also I was kinda expecting the "Ca$hscam" thing to go to an outsourcing joke. But it didn't happen. But the thing with stewie swearing at brian almost made up for it. Almost.

The PEZ thing was kinda tasteless.

Does anyone else here think this was just a sequel to the firsh Lois liberation episode "Mind over Murder?" Anyone?

The "Mmmmm-hmmm" show joke was pretty funny, but for the 4 seconds that it acctually was there.

Wasn't the first time that peter did something like E when the "Real" version of Peter Showed up in "Let's go to the Hop" ?? The Ectasy piece went on too long IMO, for parts with brian and stewie that was it. Anythign after that was overkill.

Rupert as the security guard was pretty funny. Shows that stewie is in some ways a real kid in the personification of the teddy bear.

All in all a 7.5/10

"DVDs Paused for Headline Joke - Millions Dissapointed." ROFL.

The Cookie Monster was the best part of the episode, the Ecstasy and 4 Peters bits just weren't funny and dragged on too long.

All I can say about this episode that hasn't already been said on this thread:

The woman with the hole in her throat was disgusting

Lois's dad's voice sounds different.

That's what I've been hearing.

Yeah, I just remembered that. I've always been disturbed by that stuff. I think that actually can happen to someone due to smoking or something.

I was one of the biggest defenders of this show during it's initial run. Since it's remarkable "public demand" return, I've been finding it increasingly uneven. A few too many pop references to things that should be long forgotten ("The Goonies" and - ugh - "You can't do that on television"), but it still has it's kick-ass moments. This latest one is, I think, the best of the new batch. The laughs come quick and pretty consistently.

Loved Brian's talking worms, Stewie's big business tyranny, the Cookie Monster gags, Mmm-Hmmm, and the Pez joke.

I'm really starting to hate Peter for the way he treats Meg.

Overall, I think it's starting to get it's rhythm back. McFarlene keeping himself busy with two shows at once may wear him down eventually, but time will tell.

Deaf Guys' been done guys, and too much Meg bashing risks overexposure, Evil Monkey? Time to put it aside.

...Did I mention the movies' been leaked?

So am I.

Another thing I noticed about this episode is that they brought back that sea pirate (the one with the wooden limbs) from the episode where Peter became a fisherman.

Yes it has & it's spreading like wildfire, so I am sure the admins & mods here know about it & are just ignoring it so noone actually goes looking for it or tries to leak it here

Actually, I read at TVtome that the movie would air but not until January.

They'll be airing as three seperate episodes, the direct to DVD movie edition is released first

Family Guy is One of my Favorite Shows , But This episode Was only Funny The plot didn`t really Interest me.

Funny
(Four Peters , CM In Rehab ,Evil Monkey Rolling Weed ,Dissing Meg(Again for the Billonth time this season) Deaf Guy )

But I give it a 8.5/10 for Jokes
and a 7.5 for Plot

Was this the episode where Peter talked about doing ectassy? That had me laughing so hard my sides hurt.

I did like the Greased Up Deaf Guy in this episode, but I would certainly hope that they'd lay off on him for a while. I believe he's appeared enough times this season, maybe they'll just let him as a fourth-string minor character that only big fans of the show would recognize...like the Upside Down Face Kid or Child Molester With Popsicles.

Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
