Everyone's Hero

Alright, now that I can understand (and totally sympathize with). That being said, you should definetly check out some that deviate from the norm - Monster House, Polar Express, Kaena (and these are just some more 'recent' ones). You could even check out Renaissance , and/or Arther and the Minimoys (don't worry, there's an english version of the trailer hidden in the english site) which are upcoming CGI films that I think look unique.
Plus, this is a CG film that DOESN'T star talking animals. You'd think people would be happy that it deviated from the norm.

My inner Baltimore Orioles fan would never let me see this movie, even if it looked halfway decent (When you go to a Orioles/Yankees game primarily to boo the Yankees, going to see this movie would be treason). This movie is headed straight into the mediocrity of other subpar CGI movies anyway.

I'd say a talking baseball and bat are worse than talking animals.

You've got to be kidding.

Basically if you don't go see this, you're disrespecting Christopher Reeve. That's how it's going to be marketed.

Not really. The first time I learned of the involvment of Christopher and Dana Reeve, was looking at the fine print on the poster while I was bored at work.

I have yet to see anything promoting it as a project they worked on.

Um, the whole 2D vs. 3D debate is pointless when you realize that nearly ALL of the animated films from the '50s onward have been pretty crappy talking animals stuff (and even the classics from the '40s golden age were mostly in that similar genre). Yes, there have been exceptions, and they have been glorious, but they've been rare. CGI is a younger being, and thus those exceptions are even scarcer (Toy Story, The Incredibles). Pretty much everything being made outside of Pixar is not really any better or worse than all the crap being made outside of Disney in the early '90s.

However, all 4 feature-length stop-motion films (Nightmare Before Xmas, Chicken Run, Corpse Bride, Wallace and Gromit) have actually been very good. Go stop motion!

No, I would think the same. The talking bat looks freaky as hell. If i was a kid I would be scared spitless from that freaky thing.

I was never fond of inanimate objects being alive as default(brought to life is another story). I always used to think that if that was true, we would be living as slaves to toys and furniture that had captured us(or worse) while we slept.

Not a world I would want to be in. ^_^

Personally, I think this looks to be a pretty good movie. Aside from the lame-o anthropomorphic bat and ball, this looks like it can have potential to be a pretty good adventure movie about a kid getting back Babe's prized bat.

My words exactly. I mean, I'd be executed by my fellow Red Sox fans for seeing this, but I don't exactly care.

I've seen the trailer for this movie, and I think it looks stupid....Maybe I'd care if I was a baseball fan,but I'm not....I can't imagine it doing well in my area...(I live about half an hour away from Boston)...

This movie looks like a movie that little kids would find funny.
