Earthworm Jim: The Complete Series for R1.

In June of 2011, a full set of EJ arrived in stores... Australian stores, that is. However, it appears that the distributor, VEI (Visual Entertainment Inc.) is bringing it to North America as well this year.

How convenient. It's a promising DVD year so far for absurd cartoon comedies, what with Bobobo, Samurai Pizza Cats, more Rocko and now this, a video game cartoon well remembered for its intentional humour.

If there's a similar thread, merge this if you wish. The search engine's acting wonky for me currently.

That's funny. I posted a thread about this a whopping second before you posted your thread.

It was either one second or one minute you posted first, how eerie. I'm trying to get rid of this one in favour of yours, but the 'Delete' function isn't showing up.

Gah-ROOVY!

I guess Doug TenNapel was powerless to bury the show after all. Good for everyone else.

Yep, quite eerie. I guess great minds think alike. :) If you can't get it to delete, I guess we can get someone to merge them.

Mod Note: Merged!

I didn't have the WB when the show originally aired so all I've seen are what they've released on VHS which I managed to collect years later at a dollar store. Glad to know I can finally get to see the rest of the series properly.

Wha-what!? :zim:

WHOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! YES! Man, I can totally re-create the mid 90's Kids WB line up now. XD

Power Rangers, Samurai Pizza Cats, and Earthworm Jim. So far, 2012 has been a great year for DVD releases. The only way this year could get better is if the 10th, and final, season of 80's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is released on DVD.

As for Earthworm Jim, I have 3 of the 4 VHS tapes that were released in the 90's. I might need to watch one of the tapes sometime soon to see how the show still holds up.

As can I, other than Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries I've got the season or two of shows once I nab EWJ.

Groovy indeed.

Bo-Bobo, Pizza Cats and now Jim. I'm absolutely giddy. ^_^

Well, this is a pleasant surprise. I thought Doug TenNapel hated this show?

Wow! An NTSC release that's half the price of the Australian set?

Compared to the Australian release, this will be 3 discs instead of 5. I hope the video quality is just as good.

EDIT: Anyone else find it ironic that even though this show's finally getting a domestic DVD release, it happens to be from a company based outside the US (Canada) that's just nice enough to simultaneously release it in the US market?

They contractually might not be able to include it if the pilot voices were changed for the series.

Nothing to back this up, but I was under the impression he liked it for what it was but that it was... quite different from his original vision.

Been waiting a while for this one. I actually gave up waiting last year and bought the Australian release. :D But will happily double-dip.

If you've ever pre-ordered any title, then be certain to pre-order this one, as the State-side distributor for VEI, called Millennium Media Services (MMS...which *used* to be part of First Look Pictures, but isn't any longer, but that's why Amazon's listing currently shows "First Look" as the studio) has a policy that if there aren't enough copies of a title pre-sold to retailers, then MMS won't bother to ship the title to ANY of the sellers who ordered it. This is why so many VEI titles tend to get delayed, or even cancelled, in the USA. We know that our previous story about Earthworm Jim - The Complete Series had a HUGE amount of interest, so hopefully that turns into pre-orders, meaning that everybody can actually get their copies. Tell your friends!
Okay, friends.....you know what to do.

I have only one word to say about this, GROOOOOVY!

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
